I used the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper as inspiration for the focal points on these sweet cards! I tried to match the floral image with the background pattern as best I could and I love how they turned out!
"
Background Basics—This first card begins with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Hand-Penned DSP adhered to a Pale Papaya card base. I added a 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock down the middle for a contrasting foundation for the card's focal point elements.
Floral Focal Point—I stamped the Hand-Penned Petals floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Basic White scrap cardstock. I used the corresponding two-step fill image to color in the blooms. I wanted the colors to be very soft to match the paper, so I stamped off to give them a lighter look. The large flower is in Pale Papaya, the medium flower is in Highland Heather and the leaves are in Soft Succulent. I used a Soft Succulent Light Stampin' Blends Marker to fill in the stem. It's die-cut with the Penned Flowers dies and popped up onto a Basic White Hippo & Friends die-cut. I used some Wink of Stella to give the blooms and leaves some glimmer…ahhhh!
Finishing Touches—I stamped the Hand-Penned Petals greeting in Memento Black ink onto 2-1/4" x 5/8" piece of Basic White, trimmed the ends into a banner and popped it up onto the Misty Moonlight strip. I added a few Champagne Rhinestones under that for a little more sparkle. Genial Gems would look amazing, too!
Two Cool—My second card starts with a different pattern of Hand-Penned DSP mounted onto a Just Jade card base. I added a Mint Macaron strip down the center this time.
Fabulous Floral—I stamped the other floral image on this card, filling it in with stamped images Pale Papaya, stamped off Flirty Flamingo and stamped off Mint Macaron. It's die-cut and popped up with Dimensionals. A little Wink of Stella really makes these blooms eye-catching! I finished by adding Champagne Rhinestones around the bouquet this time…super pretty!
