Hand Penned Anything Thanks with Risi - two cool

Hand-Penned Petals Thanks Cards

I have already shared Sandra Risi's card, pictured on the right above, and I knew I wanted to CASE her design for my class. I just love the layout so much!

Background Basics—My version begins with a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White cardstock adhered to a Pool Party card base. I stamped the Hand-Penned Petals sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 3" x 2" piece of So Saffron Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper, then adhered that to a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of So Saffron cardstock that was embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. I adhered a piece of Gold Shimmer Ribbon across the seam of the papers with a little SEAL adhesive (or Liquid Multipurpose Glue works great, too).

Floral Focal Point—I stamped the Hand-Penned Petals floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Basic White scrap cardstock. Then I colored the image with Stampin' Blends Markers in Pool Party and Old Olive. The flower centers were colored with So Saffron and accented with some Wink of Stella glimmer. I die-cut them with the Penned Flowers Dies and popped them up with Dimensionals. I finished by adding a couple of the Soft Succulent Genial Gems under the blooms.

Two Cool—Sandra Risi's card starts with a Fresh Freesia card base, a Soft Succulent pattern of the Hand-Penned DSP and a Soft Succulent layer of textured cardstock.
