Hand-Penned Stamped Bouquet Cards

The two large floral images from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set is perfect for coloring! I love coloring with Stampin' Blends Markers, but you could also use Stampin' Write Markers, Watercolor Pencils, and even sponging. Or, simply fill in the blooms with the two-step "fill" images that coordinates with each flower! That's what I did on today's two cards!

Background Basics—I CASEd this card from Connie Babbert, using her color combination and trying her vertical layout into a horizontal card. I started with a 5-1/2" x 2" piece of Hand-Penned DSP adhered to a Pool Party card base. I added a 5-1/2" x 1/2" strip of Misty Moonlight along the bottom of the DSP.

Floral Focal Point—I stamped the Hand-Penned Petals floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 2-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White. I used the corresponding two-step fill image to color in the blooms. I wanted the colors to be very soft to match the paper, so I stamped off to give them a lighter look. The large flower is in Blushing Bride, the medium flowers are in Pool Party, the small flowers are in So Saffron and the leaves are in Misty Moonlight. I popped this up onto a 3-1/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Blushing Bride cardstock that I mounted to the card front.

Finishing Touches—I stamped the Hand-Penned Petals greeting in Memento Black ink onto So Saffron cardstock, punched it out with the Double Oval Punch and popped it up with Dimensionals. I finished by tying a simple knot in Pool Party Sheer Ribbon and attaching it with a Glue Dot.

Two Cool—My second card starts with a different pattern of Hand-Penned DSP, along with a Mint Macaron strip, on a Soft Succulent card base.

Fabulous Floral—I stamped the other floral image on this card, filling it in with stamped images in stamped off Highland Heather and Soft Succulent. I added a little Soft Succulent color to the stems with a Stampin' Blends Marker, then finished with a Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon knot. The "thanks" greeting fits nicely in that Double Oval Punch, too!
