Whisper White Being Replaced By Basic White—Stampin' Up! announced that our amazing Whisper White cardstock will be replaced by a new paper called Basic White. Unfortunately, the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We know Whisper White has a huge fan base; we’re big fans, too! And we are crushed that it’s going away. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. Background Basics—Start by cutting two Soft Sea Foam card bases: 4-1/4" x 8-3/4", scored at the 5-1/2" mark and 8-1/2" x 3", scored at the 4-1/4" mark. Next, I adhered a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock in the center of the inside of the larger card base. This one will open left-to-right. I added a 3" x 4" piece of Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper to the front flap of that card base.
Two Cool—The second version begins with a Thick Very Vanilla two-part card base. I assembled it with the opening going in the opposite direction of the first card. The larger card base has a 3" x 4" piece of Very Vanilla textured with the Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folder. The smaller card base has a piece of Poinsettia Place DSP for a wintery look.
Finishing Touches—This time, the strip across is in Bumblebee cardstock and the sentiment is stamped in matching Soft Suede ink. I added frosted Elegant Faceted Gems on the strip, which also adds to the wintery look!
