Happiest of Birthdays Gate-Fold Cards The Happiest of Birthdays stamp set is a must-have for any stamper's collection! You can combine the sentiments with images from other stamp sets, or simply make them the focal point, as I've done with this pair of gate-fold cards. This card is a quick & easy one that you can duplicate in just a few minutes. It's also a fantastic card design for birthdays at any age from teens on up! Change it to a more masculine DSP for a guy's birthday.
Background Basics—I started with a traditional 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Mint Macaron, scored at the 2-1/8" and 6-3/8" marks to create a gate-fold card base. I decorated the front panels with two 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Papers.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the large Happiest of Birthdays sentiment in Soft Suede ink onto a Whisper White Stitched So Sweetly die-cut. It's layered onto a 3-1/8" x 4-1/4" piece of Calypso Coral. I popped up the sentiment onto the left gate-fold panel with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I tied a pretty Whisper White bow with the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon and attached it with a Glue Dot to the top of the die-cut. I finished by coloring three Rhinestone Jewels with a Dark Just Jade Stampin' Blends Marker and adding them to the sentiment to dot all of the "i" letters! How fun!
Inside the Card—I stamped another Happiest of Birthdays sentiment on the inside in Soft Suede ink.
Two Cool—The second version begins with an Old Olive gate-fold card base and the flip-sides of the same Ornate Garden DSP from the first card.
Everything else on the card is identical, except the Rhinestones are colored with Old Olive Blends Markers.
