Happiest of Days Recessed Window Cards
The images in the Happiest of Days stamp set are so sweet & delicate! I added extra focus to them by highlighting them with a recessed window element on the cards and popping up the colored elements of the images. I love this look!
Retiring Products Featured: Happiest of Days stamp set; Peekaboo Peach, Marina Mist, Soft Sky and Sweet Sugarplum Stampin' Write Markers; Soft Sky & Marina Mist cardstock; Coffee Break DSP.
Window Layers—I started by creating the two recessed window layers by cutting 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper and Whisper White cardstock. I used the Layering Circles Framelits to die-cut the circle window from the DSP. Then, I added a 4" x 1/2" strip of Marina Mist along the bottom and adorned it with some Rhinestones Jewels.
Window Stamping—I lined up the two layers, then stamped the Happiest of Days gifts image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink through the window for perfect alignment. I positioned the image as high as I could inside the circle, then added the sentiment underneath it. I popped up the entire window layer with lots of Dimensionals onto a Soft Sky card base.
Focal Point—I stamped the packages again in Memento Black onto Whisper White, then colored them with a variety of Stampin' Write Markers: Peekaboo Peach, Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Lemon Lime Twist & Sweet Sugarplum. I cut out the gifts with Paper Snips, then popped them up with Dimensionals. I added some Wink of Stella clear shimmer to the Marina Mist & Soft Sky colors on the wrapping paper. Finally, I added a Silver Baker's Twine bow with a Glue Dot.
Two Cool—I created a second version with another sentiment image from the Happiest of Days stamp set, along with some specialty paper from the Sweet Soireé DSP. This time, I oriented the card horizontally and used the Layering Ovals Framelits to fit the image. The strip along the bottom is 5-1/4" x 1/2" and I tied the Silver Baker's Twine around the layer before popping it up.
Retiring Products Featured: Happiest of Days stamp set; Sweet Soireé DSP.
Sweet Sentiment—The sentiment has only one flower on it, so I stamped it a couple more times onto scrap Whisper White to get the additional blooms. They are colored in with Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers and covered in Wink of Stella glimmer. I cut out the two extra blooms with Paper Snips and popped them up with Mini Dimensionals I colored in the leaves with the Old Olive Blends Marker.
