Today, I'm sharing a couple of fun cards using the retiring Happy Celebrations stamp set and coordinating Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder! Happy Celebrations Spotlight Embossed Cards
I've had the best time creating with the unique Celebrations Duo Embossing Folders featuring the words "happy" and "celebrate." I love stamping over the top of the raised texture to "spotlight" the embossed words. I just had to play with this fun technique one more time!

Retiring Products Featured: Happy Celebrations stamp set; Celebrations Duo Texture Impressions Folder; 1/4" Organza Ribbon; Tangerine Tango & Tempting Turquoise inks; Tempting Turquoise card stock; Eastern Palace DSP.
Background Basics—I embossed the 5-1/4" x 4" retiring Tempting Turquoise cardstock with the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder, then added a 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" strip of retiring Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper across the front. After adhering the layers to the Tempting Turquoise card base, I tied some retiring 1/4" White Organza Ribbon around the card front.
Spotlight Embossing—I embossed the 4-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White with the retiring Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder to get the raised "happy" word. Next, I stamped the Happy Celebrations splotch image in a different color for each letter: Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lime Twist & Tempting Turquoise. I used the Wink of Stella glimmer brush to add some sparkle to the skinny inside letters. This layer is popped up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I finished the card by stamping a Happy Celebrations greeting in Memento Black onto a 2-1/2" x 1/2" strip of Melon Mambo. I fishtail cut the end with Paper Snips, then attached it to the bottom of the embossed layer with SNAIL.
Two Cool—My second version features more muted colors and has a little more of a masculine feel to it. I stamped the Diagonal Stripe background image in Marina Mist ink onto a Marina Mist card front.

Spotlight Embossing—I embossed onto a 4-1/4" x 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White this time to fit a vertical card base. The letters are stamped with Wisteria Wonder, Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Wild Wasabi & Marina Mist retiring colors. The greeting was stamped onto a 2-1/4" x 1/2" strip of Sweet Sugarplum card stock.
Finishing Touches—I mounted the embossed layer onto a 4-1/4" x 3" layer of retiring Dapper Denim cardstock, then tied some Silver Twine around it. I used a combination of Tear & Tape Adhesive and SNAIL to attach the focal point to the card front.
