Hi Stamping Friends!
I've been having lots of fun playing with the new Watercolor Pencils! Have you tried them yet? They are so easy to use and allow stampers to achieve a beautiful watercolored look without being an experienced watercolorist!
The colors lay down smoothly & layer easily when dry. And when you add water, they dissolve quickly and blend beautifully! Of course, my favorite thing about the Watercolor Pencils is that they perfectly match 13 colors from the Stampin' Up! Collection for effortless coordination!

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the "happy" outline stamp from the Happy Celebrations stamp set in Archival Black Ink near the top of the tag, leaving enough room for the smaller sentiment. Archival Black ink is the best ink to use because it will not bleed when watercolored. I stamped the smaller greeting from Happy Celebrations underneath in Bermuda Bay ink.
Happy Watercoloring—I colored each letter with dry Watercolor Pencils. The thicker the application, the darker and brighter the color will be. On this version, I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay & Daffodil Delight with a light touch. Next, I dissolved and blended the colors in each letter with an Aqua Painter. Most times when watercoloring, I try to fill the colored areas completely, but this time, I put aside my OCD tendencies and tried to leave a little "white" non-colored areas around the edges for a different look. It's a little more "artsy" I think.
Finishing Touches—When my watercolor was dry, I popped up the tag with Dimensionals over the Bermuda Bay, then added a couple of Rhinestones at the corner.
Too Cool—I created a bright & bold version of the same card using a Pacific Point card base and background.
Bold Watercolor—For the second card, I used a heavier hand when coloring in each letter. This time, I used Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay & Rich Razzleberry with heavy strokes of color for super-bold and bright colors!
