Hi Stamping Friends,
Today, I'm sharing a couple of swap cards featuring the two cool stamp sets spotlighting our furry friends!
It's hard to believe, but it's been a whole year since I brought home my puppies, Jax & Millie! They are "big" dogs now, still ornery, and so, so cuddly!
Jax weighs in at 11 lbs. and Millie is just over 9 lbs.(but don't let her size fool you, she's the bully!).
They still like to fight over the same bone and they look pretty scruffily when their haircuts get postponed.
Sometimes they are pretty funny! This is what Jax does when you tell him it's time to go to bed in the crate. I call it the slow tantrum.
Most of the time, they are cute little snuggle bugs. Millie especially loves to nap the day away!
Ok, let's check out a couple of cards for our dog and cat lovers out there!

Happy Tails Paw Print On Your Heart Card
I just recently purchased the Happy Tails bundle, but I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I love this sweet swap card by Lynn Feldkamp.
Background Basics—Lynn stamped this vertically-folded Thick Whisper White card base with Happy Tails paw prints in Soft Suede ink.
Happy Dogger—She stamped the outlined dog image in Soft Suede ink onto Soft Suede cardstock, then punched it out with the coordinating Dog Builder Punch. He's popped up with Dimensionals onto a Rectangle Stitched Framelits die-cut in Whisper White. It's layered on a 2-3/8" x 3-3/4" piece of Real Red cardstock, then again on a 2-1/2" x 3-7/8" piece of Soft Suede cardstock.
Bundle It & SAVE—Purchase the Happy Tails stamp set and Dog Builder Punch together in a Bundle to save 10%.
Sweet Sentiment—Lynn stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink onto a scallop circle die-cut from the Layering Circles Framelits. It's layered onto a Real Red circle die-cut and adhered with a combination of SNAIL and Dimensionals The Real Red heart was punched from the Dog Builder Punch and it's popped up with a Mini Dimensional. Adorable card!

Nine Lives Cat's Meow Card
Marisa Alvarez created this cute swap card featuring the Nine Lives stamp set. I love how she combined it with the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper! Purr-fect!
Background Basics—She started by stamping a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" Balmy Blue piece with the Burlap Background stamp in Balmy Blue ink. Next, she added a 2" x 4" panel of the Needlepoint Nook DSP. The embroidery image on the DSP almost looks like skeins of yarn. She added a pop of color with a Berry Burst scallop square die-cut with the Layering Squares Framelits.
Sweet Sentiment—Marisa stamped the Nine Lives sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto a Whisper White Rectangle Stitched Framelits die-cut. And—I love this—she wrapped some Whisper White Baker's Twine randomly around the layer to simulate the look of yarn, the popped it up with Dimensionals. So clever!
Pretty Kitty—She combined two of the Nine Lives cat images to create the markings on this pretty kitty. First she stamped the stripes image in Crushed Curry onto Crushed Curry cardstock, then she stamped over that with the outline of the cat in Early Espresso. It's punched with the Cat Builder Punch, which is in the Annual Catalog. The cat is popped up, too. Love it!

Shortly after you got your puppies, I emailed you about what kind of dogs they were. It got my juices flowing to find my favorite kind of dog, a Shih Tzu. In August, we found a cute little Shih Tzu mix puppy. I had forgotten what you named your puppies, and our little girl wound up Millie, too. She joined our Yorkie mix 9-year old, named Lester. Our son thought Millie and Lester sounded like a little old couple. Lester had had issue with other dogs in the past, but he seems to have a “thing” for little fluffy dogs and is very tolerant of her “mouthing”. She was a little over 2 pounds when we brought her home and now weighs between 9 and 10 pounds. She is so fun!! You and your pics inspired me!!!
Awww, Linda, that is awesome! I’m sure that you’re enjoying your Millie just as much as we enjoy ours! Yay for Lester getting a friend! Thanks for sharing your story!
