Here’s another sneak peek and another spoiler alert for the awesome 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar! When you order one from my, I’ll send you a FREE tutorial with 12 projects to kickstart your creativity with this beautiful suite of products.

My gate-fold card begins with a Basic Beige card base measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 2-1/8″ and 6-3/8″. TIP: fold the gate edges flush before using the Bone Folder to crease the folds.

I added 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″ pieces of Designer Series Paper from the Calendar box to both front gate-fold panels with SEAL Adhesive.

Spoiler: The 12 Days of Crafting Calendar has a set of masks and brush dauber behind one of the mystery doors in the box. I used those to create a beautiful multicolor background focal point.

The masks are 4″ x 4″, so I started with a 4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White to make it easy to line up. Two of the masks layer to create the flowers; two of the masks layer to create the stems and leaves. I used the brush dauber to add all the colors, wiping the brush clean between colors be simply brushing onto a scrap paper until no color came off.

I started by adding the full blooms in Petal Pink and lightly applied Pretty In Pink. The cluster of flowers is lightly applied Fresh Freesia. On the second mask layer, I added details to the flowers in Pretty In Pink and Petunia Pop for the cluster.

The leaves are inked in Old Olive and stems are inked in Pecan Pie.

Once the color was all added to the Basic White layer, I trimmed it down to a 3″ x 3″ piece. It’s mounted onto a 3-1/8″ x 3-1/8″ piece of Petal Pink cardstock with SEAL Adhesive. I matted those layers to a 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ Pretty In Pink layer. The whole focal point was then secured to the left front gate panel with more SEAL Adhesive.

I stamped the 12 Days of Crafting sentiment in Petunia Pop ink onto the right side of a Basic White postage label die-cut from dies in the kit. It’s popped up with more Dimensionals.

I stamped a Petal Pink butterfly onto Basic White scrap, adding a Pretty In Pink butterfly body, then hand-trimming it. It’s attached to the label with more SEAL Adhesive.

I finished up the card with some Gold Glimmer Glue on the butterfly body, as well as the flower centers. Just the perfect touch of sparkle!
