Healing Hugs Roses With Sprigs Cards
I wanted to really highlight the gorgeous Healing Hugs rose on this card, so I featured it on layers of foliage on these two get well cards.
Background Basics—I gave the background of this card some subtle texture by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Sea Foam with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. It's adhered to a matching Soft Sea Foam card base. I added a 4" x 2" layer of gingham from the Subtles 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper pack.
Stamped Label—I created a foundation for my flower with a Whisper White Stitched Nested Labels die-cut. I stamped the two leafy images from Healing Hugs all around the edges in Soft Sea Foam ink, then adhered the label with SNAIL.
Beautiful Bloom—I stamped the rose in Flirty Flamingo ink and the leaves in Mossy Meadow ink onto Whisper White, then I fussy-cut them with my super-sharp Paper Snips. I punched out a few Mossy Meadow leaves with the Sprig Punch and positioned them around the flower, adhering them to the label with SNAIL. Then, I popped up the flower and leaves over the top.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Healing Hugs greeting in Mossy Meadow ink onto a Petal Pink Ornate Frames die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals. I added Champagne Rhinestone Jewels for a little sparkle.
Two Cool—The second horizontal card begins with a Balmy Blue textured layer on a Balmy Blue card base with Balmy Blue gingham DSP.
Sentiment Label—I stamped leaves on the label in Old Olive and I also added an Old Olive decorative border along the bottom of the label. The greeting is stamped in Night of Navy ink. I added some silver Metallic Pearls on this one.
Beautiful Bloom—I inked up the rose in Balmy Blue, then added a little Night of Navy ink to the center of the rubber image with a Sponge Dauber before stamping the rose onto Whisper White. The leaves are in Pear Pizzazz and the sprigs are in Old Olive. I'm loving this layered look!
