I'm loving the cool card style of this Valentine's Day swap card I received from Gwen Duckworth. The vellum card front adds a layer of lovely softness! I've seen this fun style done with Window Sheets, but never with vellum. Too Cool!
Background Basics—Gwen started with a 5-1/2" x 5-3/4" Thick Whisper White card base, scored at the 4-1/4" mark. She also cut a 5-1/2" x 1-1/4" strip of Whisper White that would become the bottom of the card front. Next, she adhered a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Vellum Cardstock to the inside of the short flap of the card front, just shy of the score line. Once that is in place, the bottom strip can be adhered to the bottom. She finished by adding 5-1/4" x 1" strips of shiny polka dot From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper to the top and bottom white panels on the card front.
Two of Hearts—Gwen added two cute hearts for the focal point. The first one starts with the Heartfelt Valentine's heart being stamped in Real Red ink onto Whisper White cardstock then punched with the straight-edge heart from the Heart Punch Pack. It's layered onto a Flirty Flamingo scalloped heart punched from the Heart Punch Pack. The second heart has a Flirty Flamingo Heartfelt image stamped on Whisper White and punched out, layered onto a Real Red scalloped heart shape. The two hearts are attached to the card front using Dimensionals that are only positioned over the cardstock layers, so the foam doesn't show through the vellum to the other side. There is also a Dimensional under where the first heart overlaps the second. She finished up with adding a Whisper White Crinkle Ribbon bow with a Glue Dot to the second heart. So sweet!
Inside The Card—Gwen dressed up the inside with other patterns of From My Heart DSP. What a fun way to showcase the pretty, coordinating papers! She also stamped another Heartfelt sentiment in Real Red.

Heartfelt Valentine's Eating Candy Card
The sentiment on this card created by Kay Cogbill is great! This is a quick & cute design that can be duplicated for mass-producing Valentine's cards!
Background Basics—Like the first card, Kay's card begins with a Thick Whisper White card base. She added a 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of my favorite From My Heart DSP along the left side. Next, she created a foundation for the focal point by layering a 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White onto a 3" x 4" piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock and adhered it to the card front.
Happy Heart—Also like the first card, Kay stamped the Heartfelt Valentine's heart image in Flirty Flamingo ink onto Whisper White and punching it out with the Heart Punch Pack. The Real Red scallop heart was punched with the same Punch Pack. It was layered with SNAIL adhesive and popped up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—Kay finished up by stamping the Heartfelt sentiment in Real Red ink onto a 3-3/8" x 1/2" strip of Whisper White, cutting a fishtail banner end, then popping it up onto the card front. She added a single From My Heart Faceted Gem next to the sentiment with a dab of Multipurpose Glue for a little sparkle.
