Hearts of Elegance Valentine’s Day Card
The Marbled Elegance Designer Series Paper has beautiful mixes of all of the Stampin’ Up reds and pinks. I selected this color combo of Berry Burst and Cherry Cobbler based on one of the patterns from the pack. With a few extra touches of gold, this becomes a stunning card for Valentine’s Day, or simply switch up the sentiment and use it for any occasion when you want to send a little love.
Background Basics
I started by embossing a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Berry Burst cardstock with the Timber Embossing Folder and mounting it onto a Berry Burst card base.
Next, I layered a 2-3/4″ x 4″ piece of Marbled Elegance DSP onto a 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″ piece of Basic Gray cardstock and mounted that onto the center of the card front.
Elegant Hearts
I used the Hearts of Elegance Dies to cut out a Cherry Cobbler decorative heart. I love the paper-pierced looking leaves design, don’t you? I added that with some SEAL Adhesive.
I stamped the Hearts of Elegance leafy heart image in Berry Burst ink onto Basic White cardstock and die-cut it with the coordinating Hearts of Elegance die. I added some SEAL Adhesive to the back, then looped some pretty Gold Twisted Thread on the back before popping it up with Dimensionals.
I finished the focal point with a sweet medium-size Hearts Sequin for another splash of gold.
Sweet Sentiment
I stamped the Hearts of Elegance sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink onto a Basic White Countryside Corners die-cut. I layered it onto a 3-3/4″ x 3/4″ piece of Gold Foil, then popped up the double layer with more Dimensionals. In the video, I added the gold layer with SEAL adhesive to the card front, then popped up the sentiment label on top. It’s so fun to experiment with different looks!
