Hi Stamping Friends!
I recently participated in a New Catalog swap and today I'm sharing a couple of super-cute Baby Bear cards that I received. I was on the fence about whether to purchase this set, but It's so sweet and adorable, I think it's going to be on my next order!
Like the Sweet Cupcake or Picture Perfect stamp sets, the Baby Bear set gives you three layering images that combine to make a realistic, 3D image. I like to start with the most solid image #3 first in the lightest color, then work toward the most detailed image #1 in the darkest color. Let's take a look at the cards I received…

Created by Jessica Hill at Jessica's Blog
Hello Baby Bear With Bow Tie Card
Background Basics—Jessica Hill started her bear card with a 5-1/4" x 4" Whisper White layer that was embossed with the Lucky Stars Texture Impressions Folder. She mounted that on a Sahara Sand card base. Next, she added a skinny, 5-1/4" long strip of Watermelon Wonder card stock under a 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" strip of striped Old Olive Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the card front.
Baby Bear—Jessica stamped the Baby Bear images onto a Whisper White die-cut from the Layering Ovals Framelits. Going from the most solid image #3, to the most detailed image #1, she used these colors: Sahara Sand stamped off once, Crumb Cake full strength & Soft Suede. It's popped up with Dimensionals on the card front.
Bow Tie—The bow tie image is just two steps: Dapper Denim stamped off once for the solid image, and Dapper Denim full strength for the detailed image over the top. This was hand-cut and added to the bear with SNAIL.
Sweet Sentiment—The word "hello" was die-cut using the Hello You Thinlits, then adhered with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. The word "baby" is from the Crazy About You stamp set, inked in Watermelon Wonder, then hand-cut and popped up with Dimensionals.
Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
- Stamps—Baby Bear (photopolymer), Crazy About You (clear, wood, photopolymer)
- Ink—Crumb Cake, Dapper Denim, Soft Suede & Watermelon Wonder
- Paper—Brights DSP Stack; Sahara Sand, Dapper Denim, Watermelon Wonder & Whisper White
- Accessories—None
- Tools—Layering Ovals Framelits, Hello You Thinlits, Big Shot, Lucky Stars Texture Impressions Folder, Fine-Tip Glue Pen, Dimensionals, SNAIL

Created by Karen Titus at Stampin' On The Back Porch
Hello Baby Bear Heart Card
Karen Titus had very similar elements on her card from the "hello baby" to the stripes! It's also too cute!
Background Basics—Jessica's card base is a piece of 4-1/4" x 11" Soft Suede card stock folded vertically at the 5-1/2" mark. She added a 3-3/4" square piece of striped Pool Party DSP as a foundation mat for the 3-1/2" square, Whisper White focal point. The edges of that layer are sponged lightly with Soft Suede ink.
Baby Bear—Jessica only used two of the three stamp images from Baby Bear set: #3 solid layer was in Crumb Cake stamped off once and the #1 image was stamped in Soft Suede. All layers are adhered with SNAIL.
Sweet Sentiment—She stamped the Baby Bear greeting in Memento Black ink onto Pool Party card stock, then die-cut it with the heart shape from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits. It's popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—She wrapped Linen Thread around the bottom of the card front twice and tied it into a double knot for a cute textured accent.
Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

I just love the Baby Bear Stamp set. It is so stinkin’ cute and once I master lining it up better, I will love it even more. Have you tried it with just one color yet? Stamp off twice when doing the background, stamp off once using the middle stamp, and don’t stamp off at all with the detailed stamp. Let it dry and you’ll love it!
