Hello Ladybug Circle Window Cards
Here's a fun and easy window card that I created with the Layering Circles Dies. Currently, those dies are out of stock and are expected to return around March 28. If you don't already have them, they are a must-have for your die-cutting collection.
Background Basics—I started by die-cutting a Layering Circles window into the front of a Poppy Parade card base: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at the 4-1/4" mark. Next, I stamped the flowers from the Hello Ladybug stamp set all over the front of the card in Poppy Parade ink. I adhered a 1" x 5-1/2" strip of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper down the side. I finished by tying some Playful Pets twine around the card front, untwisting the ends to make them fray.
Little Ladybug—I punched out a Basic Black bug body with the Ladybug Builder Punch. Next, I stamped the dots in Memento Black ink first onto Basic White scrap cardstock, then stamped the wings over the top in Poppy Parade ink. I punched the wings out and adhered them to the body with SEAL. The bug is adhered through the window to the inside layer with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Hello Ladybug sentiment in Memento Black onto a tiny Basic White Stitched So Sweetly die-cut. It's popped up with Dimensionals so that it overlaps the circle window. I finished by coloring a few Rhinestone Jewels with the Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blends Marker and attaching around the sentiment.
Inside The Card—The inside Basic White layer is 4" x 5-1/4" and was stamped with more flowers in Poppy Parade before mounting onto the card base.
Two Cool—My second version begins with a Bermuda Bay card base and is stamped with Bermuda Bay flowers.
Front Décor—The ladybug is once again stamped in Poppy Parade for a nice contrasting pop of color. I used a different Hello Ladybug sentiment this time and positioned the label on the left. I also changed up the placement of the Basic Black colored Rhinestone Jewels. I like this one best!
