Retirement cards are a breeze with the Waterside Retreat Suite! Good news! The Relaxing Waterside Bundle and Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper are all back in stock and ready to order! The Loose Anchor Trinkets are low in inventory, so get them quickly!

One of the things I loved most about the Waterside Retreat DSP was the papers that had cool watercolor lake scenes that were perfect for an instant backdrop for the Adirondack chairs. Unfortunately, because of the limited images in the pack, I was not able to use them in my class. Thankfully, you’ll be able to make your own relaxing scenes when you purchase your own pack.

Instead, I created my own beach scene with the help of some of the other Waterside Retreat patterns.

I started with a Basic White foundation measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″. I adhered a 3-3/4″ x 2″ piece of Waterside Retreat seagull paper to the top of the layer. Then, I added a 3-3/4″ x 2″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to the bottom of the layer. I torn an edge off the long side of a 3-3/4″ x 2″ piece of Waterside Retreat waves pattern paper, so that the torn edge looks like foam, then adhered that in the middle.

Next, I stamped some Relaxing Waterside weeds in Old Olive ink along the bottom outer edges of the Crumb Cake layer. Don’t be afraid to stamp over the edge of the water for more realism.

I finished by matting the background onto a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of Misty Moonlight and mounting it onto a Balmy Blue card base.

I die-cut the two-part Relaxing Waterside die-cut chair in Misty Moonlight cardstock and used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the pieces together. TIP: You’ll slip the back of the chair’s tab into a slot on the bottom of the chair, then dab glue behind the slats along the back of the chair to secure.

I also die-cut the bottom of the chair in Pecan Pie in order to get that wood accent piece below the seat of the chair. The armrests are die-cut in Pecan Pie and attached with glue. I popped up the entire chair with Dimensionals.

I stamped the Relaxing Waterside sentiment in Old Olive ink onto a small Basic White Stylish Shapes die-cut. It’s popped up with Dimensionals.

I die-cut two Old Olive cattails elements with the Relaxing Waterside Dies. I used a Pecan Pie Light Stampin’ Blends Marker to color the tip of the cattails…so easy for a finished look!

I also stamped the seagulls in Crumb Cake onto Basic White cardstock, die-cut them and popped them up with more Dimensionals (trimmed down for smaller areas).

Hard to believe…no ribbon or embellishments necessary on this relaxing card!
