Hey Birthday Chick Simple Barnyard Cards
I created a simple barnyard scene combining images and dies from the Hey Chick & Hey Birthday Chick Bundles. There are tons of little detailed dies that you can use to add even more chicken coop details, but I wanted to keep this one quick & easy!
Background Basics—I started by adding a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" strip of True Love Designer Series Paper down the center of a Real Red card base. Next, I stamped a Hey Chick sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the top right corner of a 3-1/4" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White. I layered that onto a 3-1/2" x 4" piece of Basic Black, just a little offset, and mounted the layers onto the card front.
Barnyard Scene—I die-cut the Gray Granite barn with the Chick Dies and adhered it to the white layer. Next, I stamped the two Hey Birthday Chick characters in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Basic White. They are colored in with Light Gray Granite, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody Stampin' Blends Markers. I used the Birthday Chick Dies to cut them out, the popped them up with Dimensionals.
Two Cool—I used the same basic elements on my second version. This time, I started with a strip of Berry Delightful DSP adhered to a Coastal Cabana card base. I stamped the Birthday Chick sentiment in Real Red onto the focal point. I also added some Pool Party Sheer Ribbon around the bottom of the barnyard layers.
Barnyard #2—I stamped two characters from the Hey Chick stamp set this time. I thought they went very well with the Best of Cluck sentiment. Good luck on your hatching, lil' chick!
