Hi Stamping Friends!
I signed myself up for lots of Holiday Catalog swaps this year, so I will have lots of Too Cool ideas for cards! My first swap was due this week, so I thought I share it and give you a sneak peek of one of my favorite images from the new catalog!

Peaceful Wonderland Card
There is something about the peacefulness of the trees from the new Wonderland stamp set that is so striking to me! I couldn't wait to make a simple & stunning wintery night holiday card with it! I kept wanting to put more holiday goodies on it, but ended up sticking with a sleek, classic look with just a bit of texture & shine.
Background Basics—I started by texture embossing a 4-1/4" x 2" layer of Island Indigo with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder, then adhering it to a Night of Navy card base. The 1/4" wide strip of Silver Foil adds just a little hint of shine that will pick up the sparkle accents on the trees.
I love the look of the wood texture combined with the trees. Natural & rustic!
Sponged Evergreens—I wanted a multicolored tree for richness & depth. To accomplish this, I used the Sponge Daubers to sponge directly onto the rubber stamp. I added Marina Mist on the tree tops, and Island Indigo and Night of Navy throughout the rest of the branches, huffed on the image to re-moisten it, then stamped onto the 3-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a sentiment from another upcoming stamp set called Reason For The Season in Night of Navy. One single Rhinestone Jewel adds an eye-catching element.
Layered Details—I mounted the stamped layer onto a 3-3/8" x 4-1/8" mat of Marina Mist, then wrapped 1/8" Silver Ribbon around it and tied it into a double-knot. It's popped up with Dimensionals onto the card base.
Sparkly Snow—No wintery tree card would be complete without some sparkly snow on the branches! I dabbed my 2-Way Glue Pen all over the limbs, then sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds glitter. It's hard to see, but you can click on the image to see the close-up!
Two Cool—For the horizontal version, I made more of a forest scene with the stamp. I inked it up with sponged colors the same way, then stamped the main center image first. Without re-inking, I stamped the trio of trees to the left and right of the original image. I love how those trees look all misty and off in the background.
I changed the background texture to Stylish Stripes on this one.
Sweet Sentiment—This greeting is from the Wonderland set. Love that beautiful font and it certainly goes perfectly with this card.
Rhinestone Snowflakes—I love the three Rhinestone Jewels on this one to give the appearance of falling snow sparkling in the air. A great finishing touch!

I'm thinking that we'll be creating this card at an upcoming "Last Thursdays" class that's a little closer to the holidays.
I'd Love To Hear From You! What do you think of these new, skinny pines? Do you like the trio of trees or the snowy forest best? Leave me a comment at the bottom of the page!

Beautiful, beautiful cards! Love them both:-)
Loved the multicolored pine trees! On the wood grain. Sparkles and rhinestones, woo hoo! Great cards, Angie (the other one. Lol)
Has a new catalog come out that I missed?
Thanks Bernie, Elisha & Pam for the compliments on this card! Pat, you should be getting the new Holiday Catalog in the mail in the next week or so. It starts on September 1.
Love both of them Angie. Question: What is Island Island paper and ink? lol
Carol! Thanks for eyeing the typo! I used to be a proofreader, so typos irritate me something awful! Fixed!
Beautiful! TFS!
