Merry Christmas To All Banner Cards

The Merry Christmas To All Bundle is a fantastic sentiment set for the holidays! It's a mix & match style set with some words in flowing cursive fonts and coordinating words in smaller, all-caps letters. Combine them to create beautiful greetings with an elegant & stylish flair! The coordinating Merry Christmas Thinlits also have die-cut words and labels to offer even more versatility!

I tried out a few traditional combinations on these cards that also feature the beautiful Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper. The patterns on one side of the papers in the pack have beautiful copper accents and they create a lovely backdrop for the Merry Christmas To All phrases.

Background Basics—I began this card with a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of the pretty snowflake pattern of NEW Joyous Noel DSP, adhered to a Merry Merlot card base.

Next, I fishtail cut the bottom of a 2-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Gray Granite cardstock, then embossed it with the new NEW Corrugated Dynamic Texture Impressions Folder. Oh, this texture is so fun! It's like a corrugated box and because it's a Dynamic Folder, it has really deep ridges for the corrugation. Love it! It's attached to the card front with Tear & Tape for a secure hold.

Focal Point Sentiment—I stamped the word "Christmas" from the NEW Merry Christmas To All stamp set in Merry Merlot ink onto Sahara Sand cardstock, then stamped the label over the top of it in Sahara Sand ink. I found it was easier to stamp the words first, then the label, than to start with the label. I adhered it with SNAIL adhesive onto a Whisper White large circle die-cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Since the DSP had copper snowflake accents, I die-cut the large "merry" from the NEW Merry Christmas Thinlits out of Copper Foil Sheets, using the Precision Base Plate for best results. I adhered that with some Multipurpose Liquid Glue, taking care not to get any glue on the foil to mar the shiny surface. I popped up the circle over the banner with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—I added a little White Baker's Twine bow to the the side of the label with a "pinched" Glue Dot. Finally, I used my Bronze Stampin' Blends Marker to alter the color of the white Adhesive-Backed Sequins. I thought they picked up the copper look quite well! Too Cool!

Two Cool—The second version begins with another gorgeous pattern of Joyous Noel DSP with copper accents on some of the leaves. I adhered it to a Soft Suede card base this time. The corrugated textured banner is in Tranquil Tide to match the holly leaves.

Focal Point Sentiment—I thought the card needed a pop of red, so I die-cut the Merry Christmas Framelits word in Merry Merlot. The word inside the label was stamped in VersaMark and embossed with Copper Embossing Powder to pick up the copper accents in the paper.

Finishing Touches—Instead of the baker's twine, I added a Copper Trim bow under the sentiment. To fill up some of the space around the die-cut, I decided to stamp a couple of holly leaf flourishes that were colored with a Tranquil Tide and Sahara Sand Marker on the stamp before stamping. They are topped with a few Pearl Jewels that were colored with the Bronze Stampin' Blends Marker, just like the sequins on the first card.
