Wonderful Winter Night Cards

The third project from my November Holiday Card Stamp-a-Stack Class is so SO pretty!  It features the gorgeous pines from the Wonderland stamp set.  This set has definitely been a sleeper from the Holiday Catalog.  I didn't think that I needed it, and I don't even like all of the images in it, but those TREES!  Simply splendid!

Wonderland night - 1

CASEd from Teri Pocock at Teri's Craft Spot.

Background Basics—The background is simply a 4-1/4" x 2" piece of Night of Navy, adhered to a Blackberry Bliss card base.

Wonderland night - 4

Moonlight Mask—To create the moon, I punched out a 1" Circle from a Post-It note, then used it as a mask on a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White.  Then, I sponged on Soft Sky ink over the whole top portion of the sky.  I added some Night of Navy sponging all around the top edges, then finished up the bottom with Blackberry Bliss sponging.

TIP: Sponge in small, gentle circles. Start off the card stock, then move your circles onto the card stock to avoid big ink blobs.

Wonderland night - 3

Sparkly Trees—I stamped the trio of pines over the sponged sky with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, staggering the heights.  I matted it onto a 3-1/8" x 4-3/8" piece of Night of Navy card stock, and again on a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Smoky Slate.  I added some snowy sparkle to the trees with the help of the 2-Way Glue Pen and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  The whole layer is popped up with Dimensionals.

Wonderland night - 5

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Wonderland greeting in Memento Black ink onto a 4" x 3/4" strip of Smoky Slate and trimmed the ends into fish-tails.  It's popped up, too.

Wonderland night - 6

Two Cool—I was so happy with how this design turned out, that I didn't change up the versions other than the placement of the background and sentiment.  And, this one I dotted on the Dazzling Diamonds to look like snow falling over the whole scene.
