Hi Stamping Friends,
I'm so excited to be able to meet with my Too Cool Stampers Team tonight at our Stamp & Share event. I'm hoping the weather keeps improving, because we have already rescheduled our event once due to ice. Give us a break, Mother Nature, so we can have some stamping fun!
Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards using the popular Home To Roost Sale-a-Bration stamp set. Not only is it fun to experiment with the colors on the rooster, I also enjoyed playing with different patterns and elements to create a different background for our feathered friend.

Who knew it would be so much fun to color in a rooster AND play decorate different styles of cards for him! I am still loving this Sale-a-Bration stamp set so much! Remember, you can earn it for FREE through March 31, 2019, with your $50 order at www.TooCool.StampinUp.net. I love this bright, refreshing look for the Home To Roost set. It still has a country feel to it with a contemporary flair!
Background Basics—I embossed a 4-1/4" x 2-1/2" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Tin Tile Texture Impressions Folder, then mounted it onto a vertically-folded Poppy Parade card base. I used a combination of Tear & Tape and SNAIL adhesives for a secure hold. Next, I added a 4-1/4" x 1" strip of the pretty black & white checked Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper across the middle. The Botanical Butterflies DSP is also a FREE selection during Sale-a-Bration for a $50 order.
I finished by wrapping some Braided Linen Trim around the card front, tied it in a double-knot and frayed the ends. Keepin' it country!
Cool Rooster—I stamped the Home To Roost rooster in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a Whisper White Rectangle Stitched Framelits die-cut. I also stamped the sentiment underneath in Memento Black. The rooster is colored in with Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. It's mounted onto a 2-1/2" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic Black, then popped it up with Dimensionals onto the card front.

Home To Roost Country Chic Card
The second Home To Roost card features elements that are much more traditional country and I love this style, as well!
Background Basics—I started by stamping the Buffalo Check background image onto a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Crumb Cake with Cajun Craze ink. I haven't done distressing for a long time, but I thought it would really fit on this card, so I roughed up the edges of the checked layer with the blade of my Paper Snips. It's mounted to a Crumb Cake card base. Yeehaw!
Handsome Rooster—Similar to the first card, I stamped the rooster in Memento Black onto a Very Vanilla Rectangle Stitched die-cut and I added the same sentiment in Cajun Craze. This rooster is colored in with Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay and Old Olive Stampin' Blends Markers.
Finishing Touches—I wrapped some Old Olive Linen Thread around the layer and tied it into a bow. Next, I added a 1/2" x 3-1/4" strip of Cajun Craze under the left edge and popped it all up with Dimensionals. I finished by adding a Butterfly Wooden Elements branch with a Glue Dot. So cute!

Love the rooster and the cards! My favorite is the first one! The color combination is so fun and really like that embossing folder! You said you used a combination of the tear tape and snail adhesive to attach that panel- why both types? Would the tape not be enough by itself?
