Hydrangea Haven Sweet Thank You Card
Most of my cards from the LIVE Class focus on the blues and purples from the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper color palette, but there's also some Rococo Rose in there, too! I started with that pretty pink for this first card for a sweet thank you card. My card is a CASE of a swap card that I received from Julie Davison, which I've shared below, too!
Background Basics—My card begins with a 4-1/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock, embossed with the soon-to-retire Subtle Embossing Folder and mounted onto a Crumb Cake card base. I added a 1" x 5" strip of a Rococo Rose pattern of Hydrangea Hill DSP along the left side.
Two-Step Flower—The Hydrangea Haven stamp set makes it SOOO easy to create a lovely hydrangea focal point with it's two-step photopolymer stamps. I started by stamping the outline hydrangea image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a 3-/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Basic White. Next, I inked up the solid flower fill image with Rococo Rose ink, stamped it off one time, then stamped over the petals. The color is designed to spill out over the outer edges of the image—I love that look! I stamped the leaves fill image in Pear Pizzazz to finish the flower.
You wouldn't have to, but I used a Light Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends Marker to add color to the flower centers for a little more depth. I popped up the flower layer with Dimensionals.

Sweet Sentiment Tag—I die-cut a Blushing Bride tag with the Hydrangea Dies…isn't that tiny tag adorable?!! I stamped it with one of the many sentiments from the stamp set that fits perfectly on the tag. You can choose from others like, "with love," "for you," "I love you," and "congrats."
Finishing Touches—I added a Linen Thread bow to the top of the tag with a Glue Dot, then added some Rococo Rose Pastel Pearls around the flower.
Inside Details—Don't forget to add some decor to the inside!
Two Cool—Julie Davison sent me this adorable Hydrangea Haven swap card that I used as the inspiration for my card above. Her card has a Pear Pizzazz layer without embossing, mounted onto a Sahara Sand card base. She used a Seaside Spray strip of Hydrangea Hill DSP.
Sweet Sentiment Label—She stamped the Hydrangea Haven sentiment in Memento Black ink onto Basic White and punched it with the Double Oval Punch. She also punched a Seaside Spray scalloped oval with the same punch, then adhered them together and popped it up with Dimensionals.
