Hydrangea Hill die-cut flower - two cool

Hydrangea Hill Die-Cut Blooms Cards

There are lots of ways to feature the flower from the Hydrangea Hill Suite. I've shared several ways to color in the stamped bloom over the past few days. Today, I've used the coordinating die-cuts from the Hydrangea Dies set to create the flower and it's so textured and cool!

Background Basics—The background of the card is made easy with the help of the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper. I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece from the pattern that has a lovely hydrangea border along two sides. I layered it onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock. After tying some Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon around the layers, I mounted them onto a Basic White Thick card base.

Die-Cut Hydrangea—I used the Hydrangea Dies to die-cut the hydrangea bloom in Highland Heather cardstock. I love that the detailed petals can be bent up to give more texture and dimension! I recommend using Liquid Multipurpose Glue to mount it. TIP: Be careful when you adhere it to the card front, so you don't adhered those bent petals flat to the card. Next, I die-cut the solid leaves die-cut in Pear Pizzazz and the outline leaves in Old Olive. They are layered with Multipurpose Glue and adhered to the card front.

Finishing Touches—I used some Wink of Stella to add some glimmer to the hydrangea blossom. I also added three different colors of the Pastel Pearls from the Hydrangea Hill Suite.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Hydrangea Haven sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink onto a scrap piece of Basic White. I punched it out with the new Double Oval Punch and popped it up with Dimensionals.

Two Cool—My second card begins with a Basic White layer that's embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. It's layered onto Gorgeous Grape and tied with soon-to-retire White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.

Hydrangea Die-Cut—The leaves are the same as the first card, but I changed the hydrangea to Purple Posy.

Sweet Sentiment—This time, I selected a different Hydrangea Haven sentiment, inked in Gorgeous Grape and stamped onto a Seaside Spray die-cut label made with the Hydrangea Dies. There are a couple of sentiments from the set designed to fit in this cute stitched label shape.
I'd Love To Hear From You!
