Impressions Abloom Appreciate You Card

Can I tell you just how much I LOVE this particular pattern of the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper? It has glorious variations of my “Too Cool” colors and they look so fabulous together! I had so much fun creating this peek-a-boo style card.

Background Basics

I started with a 5-1/2″ x 7″ piece of Pool Party cardstock, scored at the 2-3/4″ mark. I added a 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Floral Impressions DSP to the front flat, as well as a 1-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Floral Impressions DSP on the inside edge that shows through when the card is closed.

Oval Layers

The Impressions Abloom Dies has a beautiful modern oval shaped die layers. I cut a larger oval in Fresh Freesia, then a smaller oval using the framed oval die in Basic White. I adhered the layers together with SEAL Adhesive, then mounted the oval onto the shorten front flap with more SEAL.

Focal Point Flowers

Next I stamped the three Impressions Abloom flowers with the two-step stamps. The large one is stamped in Petunia Pop for the detailed image and Fresh Freesia for the solid image. The large center is Blackberry Bliss detailed with Fresh Freesia fill. The medium flower and center is Misty Moonlight for detailed image; stamped-off Misty Moonlight for he solid fill. The small flower is Balmy Blue detailed with stamped-off Balmy Blue for the fill, then Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue for the center. All flowers were die-cut with the coordinated Impressions Abloom Dies.

I die-cut an Old Olive stem and two leaves with the Impressions Abloom Dies and attached them to the oval label with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I finished by adding the stamped & die-cut flowers with Dimensionals into a beautiful cluster.

Sweet Sentiment

I stamped the Impressions Abloom sentiment in Misty Moonlight onto a 3″ x 3/4″ piece of Pool Party, then popped them up with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches

I finished by adding a few of the lighter colored Strawberry Slush & Pretty In Pink Gems around the blooms.

Peek-a-Boo Inside

Although I could have simply added a 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ size writing space to the inside of the card, I been enjoying this cool peek-a-book style message area that matches the focal point background. I die-cut a Basic White Impressions Abloom oval, then stamped the inside to match the flowers on the card front. It’s adhered with SEAL Adhesive directly behind the front oval. Love it!
