In Color Club: Petunia Pop Thank You Card
I create a card design for each of the NEW In Colors as part of my In Color Club. Each kit features all products in one of the NEW In Colors, along with supplies to make 4 each of one spotlight color card design. This is my card for the Petunia Pop color!
All of the In Color Club cards use the Simply Said stamp set, which participants purchase separately. They will also feature the lovely Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper, as well as the NEW In Color Glimmer Paper, coordinating Bordered Ribbon and In Color Shimmer Gems. There’s find a fun sampling of die-cuts and embossing folder patterns on the cards, too.
Background Basics
I started this card by embossing the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock with the new Eyelet Embossing Folder. I adhered a 4″ x 2″ piece of a Summer Splash pattern from the Unbounded Beauty DSP across the middle, then tied some Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon around it into a double-knot. I mounted the background onto a Petunia Pop card base with SEAL Adhesive.
Focal Point
I popped up a 2″ x 4″ piece of coordinating Unbounded Beauty DSP, with Petunia Pop and Summer Splash colors, on the left side with Dimensionals. Next, I used the Painted Lavender Dies to die-cut a Basic White leafy branch and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added a couple of die-cut sprigs from the Unbounded Love Dies using the Petunia Pop Glimmer Paper. They are adhered with Liquid Glue, as well.
Sweet Sentiment
I stamped the Simply Said sentiment in Petunia Pop ink onto a Basic White Unbounded Love die-cut label shape and attached it with SEAL.
Finishing Touches
Did you notice that there are TWO COOL In Color Embellishments this year: In Color Shimmer Gems and In Color Resin Dots? In Color Club members will receive both packs! Please Note the Resin Dots are currently out of stock but are expected back around May 13.
I added two Petunia Pop Shimmer Gems to the bottom of the focal point for a little more sparkle. Pretty, pretty!
Two Cool
The card I designed for my In Color Club Petunia Pop color was CASEd from a lovely swap card that I received from Laura Milligan. I thought her card was so simple & lovely that it would be the perfect layout for one of my In Color Club cards! Here is Laura’s card highlighting Pretty In Pink and Peach Pie.
Embossing TIP: Check out the Eyelet embossed background texture on both cards. Can you see that the Petunia Pop card the texture is really crisp and deep. The texture on Laura’s card is a little less so…kind of a softer imprint. You can get her look by embossing two sheets of cardstock at one time. Try it if you want that softer look, or if you want to save time by embossing two sheets at a time!
Background Basics
Laura’s card also has the Basic White Eyelet Embossed background and a Peach Pie pattern of Unbounded Beauty DSP across the middle. She adhered the background to a Pretty In Pink card base. Rather than tying the ribbon around the layers, she adhered a strip of the Pretty In Pink Bordered Ribbon across the card, then used a separate piece tied in a knot to add to the sentiment later with a Glue Dot.
Focal Point
Laura used a coordinating Pretty In Pink and Peach Pie pattern of DSP for the focal point. Her die-cut is from the Thoughtful Wishes Dies. She also used Thoughtful Wishes stamps for the sentiment, stamped in Peach Pie ink onto a Stylish Shapes die-cut. She finished with Peach Pie In Color Resin Dots. Super sweet!
