In Color Club: Summer Splash Birthday Card
I create a card design for each of the NEW In Colors as part of my In Color Club. Each kit features all products in one of the NEW In Colors, along with supplies to make 4 each of one spotlight color card design. This is my card for the Summer Splash color!
All of the In Color Club cards use the Simply Said stamp set, which participants purchase separately. They will also feature the lovely Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper, as well as the NEW In Color Glimmer Paper, coordinating Bordered Ribbon and In Color Shimmer Gems. There’s find a fun sampling of die-cuts and embossing folder patterns on the cards, too.
Background Basics
I adhered a 3″ x 4″ Summer Splash pattern from the Unbounded Beauty DSP pack to the right side of a Summer Splash card base. Next, I embossed a 5-1/4″ x 1″ piece of Pretty In Pink cardstock with the Timber Embossing Folder and adhered it across the card front.
Focal Point
I die-cut a Petunia Pop sprig with the Textured Florals Dies and adhered it to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Next, I punch some sprigs from Summer Splash In Color Glimmer Paper with the Bough Punch and added that with Liquid Glue.
Sweet Sentiment
I stamped the Simply Said sentiment in Summer Splash onto a Basic White Unbounded Love Dies label die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
I tied some Summer Splash Bordered Ribbon into a bow and attached it to the sentiment label with a Glue Dot. I finished with a few 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems in Summer Splash. So pretty!
Two Cool
I received a swap from Dawn Olchefske that featured very similar elements as my In Color Club card.
Background Basics
Dawn’s card begins with the same Summer Splash pattern of Unbounded Beauty DSP measuring 2-5/8″ x 4″. It’s layered onto a 2-7/8″ x 4-1/4 piece of Summer Splash cardstock and mounted onto the Summer Splash card front.
Focal Point
Next, Dawn added a couple of strips of color: a 3″ x 1/2″ piece of Summer Splash In Color Glimmer Paper and a 3-1/4″ x 3/8″ piece of Unbounded Beauty DSP. She stamped an Unbounded Love sentiment in Summer Splash ink onto a Basic White Unbounded Love label die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
She finished with two Summer Splash Resin Dots. So simple & sweet!
