Hi Stamping Friends!
Welcome. Friendship. Hospitality. Warmth. The image of a pineapple represents all of these things, so it's a lovely symbol to use on a greeting card! In The Tropics Pineapple Friendship Cards
The In The Tropics dies make it quick & easy to create these thoughtful cards! I used several items from the Tropical Oasis suite for a beautifully coordinated pair of greetings!
Background Basics—I adhered a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the pretty pineapple pattern of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper onto a Soft Suede card base. Next, I layered a 4-1/4" x 1-1/2" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock across the lower half to create a foundation for my focal point.
Textured Layer—I die-cut a Stitched Rectangle die-cut in Crushed Curry, then embossed it with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder. It's attached with SNAIL onto the center of the card front.
Pretty Pineapple—The two-part pineapple is die-cut with the In The Tropics dies. The pineapple is made with So Saffron cardstock and popped up with Mini Dimensionals that are cut in half, or you can cut small pieces from the border of the Dimensional sheet. The leaves are made with Old Olive cardstock with the leaves bent outward and adhered with SNAIL.
Finishing Touches—I stamped the Timeless Tropical sentiment in Soft Suede ink onto a 3-3/4" x 5/8" strip of Whisper White, fishtail cut the ends and attached it with SNAIL to the pineapple. I finished by tying a double bow with Linen Thread and attaching it with a pinched Glue Dot. So sweet!
Two Cool—I used the back-side of the DSP on this card for a much more colorful background and switched the Crumb Cake layer with Poppy Parade for a bright pop of color!
Focal Point—I changed the textured layer to Soft Suede, so the pineapple has a lovely contrast. I finished with another Timeless Tropical sentiment in Soft Suede ink, die-cut with an Ornate Frames die.
