Inked & Tiled Pocket Cards

I had lots of fun creating these easy Inked & Tiled pocket cards, inspired by a swap card by Cindy Westerink.

Background Basics—The card base is a Petal Pink 4-1/4" x 11" piece that is scored at the 1-1/4" and 5-1/2" marks. I adhered a 4" x 3" piece of the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper to the pocket front on the bottom. Next, I folded down the short flap, adhered it down and added a 4" x 1" piece of coordinating Inked Botanicals DSP. I finished by tying some of the striped Petal Pink ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Pack. The pocket is held together by the ribbon and no adhesive is necessary. Too Cool!

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Inked & Tiled flower in stamped-off Crushed Curry and Petal Pink onto a Very Vanilla All That circle die-cut. I added an Inked & Tiled sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink. It's layered onto a Calypso Coral Stylish Shapes circle and popped up over the ribbon. I finished by adding a few Calypso Coral Iridescent Pastel Gems around the focal point.

Pocket Card—The largest die from the Countryside Corners Dies creates the perfect size card for the pocket! I stamped some coordinating flowers on the bottom. Then, I punched some Inked Botanicals DSP with the "x" punch from the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack. I folded it over and adhered it along the top edge of the card to create a pull tab. So cute and clever! Thanks, Cindy!

Two Cool—My second card had a Pool Party card base for the pocket. I decorated with two lighter Pool Party patterns from the Inked Botanicals DSP. It's tied with Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon. .

Sweet Sentiment—This time, I colored the small flower directly with Calypso Coral and Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write Markers and stamped it onto a Basic White All That circle die-cut. The one-line sentiment was made into two lines by using the same direct-to-stamp coloring with the Lost Lagoon marker. TIP: Make sure you clean the stamp really well between inkings of the sentiment lines. It's layered onto Lost Lagoon Stylish Shapes circle die-cut and popped up. I love the pop of Calyspo Coral color and the coordinating Iridescent Pastel Gems.
