Inked & Tiled Just A Note Card
Sandy Risi created this delightful Inked & Tiled swap card using the markers direct-to-stamp technique for the flowers. So simple and pretty!
Background Basics—Sandy started by stamping the large Inked & Tiled leaf image in Wild Wheat ink onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Wild Wheat. She added two 4" x 1/4" strips of the Gold Distressed Paper across the middle for a shiny background accent, then mounted the layer onto a Daffodil Delight card base.
Marker Stamped Focal Point—Sandy used Stampin' Write Markers on the brush-tip end to color directly onto the Inked & Tiled flower stamp. First, she colored the majority of the blooms with Daffodil Delight, then she added the darker Wild Wheat to the bottom of the flowers. She finished by inking the stems and leaves with Garden Green. Once the stamp was completely colored, she huffed on it to re-moisten the ink, then stamped onto a 2" x 4-1/2" piece of Basic White. That layer was adhered with SEAL Adhesive onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—Sandy stamped the Inked & Tiled sentiment in Wild Wheat ink onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes mini banner die-cut and adhered it with SEAL.
Finishing Touches—She finished with a couple of gold sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins pack. I love how those play off the shiny gold specialty paper. Beautiful!
Inked & Tiled Hello Friend Card
This pretty Inked & Tiled card was a swap created by Susie Wood. I'm loving all of the layers and textures!
Background Basics—Susie began by embossing the card front of a Lost Lagoon card base with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder. She added a 2" x 5-1/4" strip of Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper, as well as a 4-1/4" x 3/4" strip of Crushed Curry cardstock across the card front.
Floral Focal Point—Once again, Susie used the markers direct-to-stamp technique to color the larger and smaller flower images from Inked & Tiled. Blooms are inked in Crushed Curry and stems and leaves are inked in Lost Lagoon. She stamped the image onto a 2-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White. It's layered onto a 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Vellum Cardstock, then layered again onto a 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Inked Botanicals DSP before being mounted onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Sweet Sentiment—Susie stamped the Inked & Tiled sentiment in Lost Lagoon ink onto the smallest square Stylish Shapes Dies in Basic White cardstock. It's layered onto a Lost Lagoon Inked & Tiled star punched shape and popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—She finished with a single Daffodil Delight Glossy Dot and a piece of Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon tied in a knot and attached with a Glue Dot.
