Inspiring Iris Sending Hugs Cards
The softly stamped background provides a lovely textured background for the sweet Inspiring Iris flower. What a lovely way to show you care!
Stamped Background—I started by texture embossing a 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock with the Subtle Folder. Then, I added some tone-on-tone stamping with the Inspiring Iris images in Soft Sea Foam ink. I stamped with the grasses image, as well as the flower stem that looks like a mini tulip. That's the stem for the flower that matches the focal point.
Background Basics— I added some Petal Pink Striped Organdy Ribbon around the bottom of the stamped background layer, then mounted it onto a 4-7/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Whisper White. It's adhered to a Soft Sea Foam card base.
Focal Point—I stamped the outline image of the Inspiring Iris flower onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes oval die-cut. Then, I stamped the filler flower images in Flirty Flamingo and the stem in Pear Pizzazz. The oval is popped up with Dimensionals and adorned with a Basic Adhesive Backed Sequin.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Inspiring Iris sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a 2-1/2" x 3/4" Petal Pink strip, fishtail cut the end and popped it up with more Dimensionals. So soft & lovely!
Two Cool—The second card has a Crumb Cake background, stamped with Crumb Cake ink, and mounted onto a Crumb Cake card base. I laid down a strip of Tear & Tape across the bottom and added some Braided Burlap Trim on it with some frayed ends.
Finishing Touches—I stamped the focal point the same as the first card with a different color of sequin. The sentiment is on a strip of Pear Pizzazz.
