Inspiring Iris Wishing You The Best Cards
This pretty two-step stamp set is carrying over into the new catalog and I'm so glad! I love that the filler images do not exactly match the outline images, so it's meant to not be perfect! It gives the feeling of a watercolor effect. Too Cool! Supplies for both of today's cards are included in this week's LIVE Class Kit!
Background Basics—I started by adhering a 4" x 2-1/2" piece of Brights Designer Series Paper onto the top of an Old Olive card base. Next, I embossed a 4" x 2-3/4" piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock with the new Tasteful Textile Folder. I finished up the background by stamping the Inspiring Iris decorative border image in Bermuda Bay ink across a 4" x 3/4" strip of Coastal Cabana.
Focal Point—I stamped the Inspiring Iris outline image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a cool new Tasteful Labels die-cut. This one should be a must-have on your Catalog Wish List! I used the coordinating filler images to stamp the flowers in Bermuda Bay and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz. I finished up by giving the flowers a little brush of Wink of Stella glimmer. The label is popped up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I created this partial label with the new Lovely Labels Pick A Punch! It features two cool shapes that you can punch on strips of cardstock that are either 1", 3/4" or 1/2" wide! It's another awesome tool that you'll definitely want in your collection! I punched the end of a 3/4" strip of Whisper White, stamped the Inspiring Iris sentiment in black, then trimmed the other side flush with the edge. It's popped up and accented with a single Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequin, and these will be retiring.
Two Cool—My second card begins with a Purple Posy DSP layer, Gorgeous Grape embossed layer and Pear Pizzazz stamped border layer, all mounted to a Highland Heather card base.
Focal Point—This time I stamped the flower in Gorgeous Grape…everything else is the same on the focal point.
Lovely Label—This sentiment label was punched with the alternative shape from the same Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Love it!
