Introducing the 2014-2016 In Colors!

Hi Stamping Friends!

Comparison - 2014 in colors card stockFinally!  I thought they would never get here, but yesterday, the UPS man delivered my catalog pre-order goodies, including the new 2014-2016 In Colors!  Woohoo!  Seeing the new In Colors in person is my favorite part of the new catalog!  As soon as I get them in my hands, the first thing I do is pull out all of the colors that are similar and see how they compare.

I even made some little comparison charts—wanna see?!!!

Comparison - 2014 in colors 008 copy

Disclaimer—This is fun for comparison purposes, but remember that the colors you are looking at are probably not very true-to-life.  They've been filtered through my camera, my photo editor, this blog and your monitor.  I can promise that the new colors are much more bright and warm and rich than what you are seeing on your screen.  But, you'll get a general idea until you, too, get the actual products in your hands!

OK…Let's take a closer look!

Also Note—I've included the new matching 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon on each comparison.

Comparison - hello honey copy

Hello Honey—You will love this warm new yellow!  It's a little bit lighter than Crushed Curry, and I little bit "dustier" than Daffodil Delight.  Soft and silky smooth, just like honey!

Comparison - tangelo twist copy

Tangelo Twist—This color seems like a mixture of Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango.  The undertones are a little more red than Pumpkin Pie, and it's a little lighter and more yellow than Tangerine Tango.

Comparison - blackberry bliss copy

Blackberry Bliss—This color looks VERY different than it's appearing on screen.  Here, that ribbon almost looks brown and that's not accurate at all.  In real life, Blackberry Bliss is a deeper, darker version of Rich Razzleberry.  It's kind of like mixing Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant.  A very rich and regal color!

Comparison - mossy meadow copy

Mossy Meadow—This color is dark like Always Artichoke, but with a more yellow undertone.  It looks like the dark, earthy greens you would see in nature.  I probably should have put Old Olive next to it, because it's like a darker shade of Old Olive.  I'm hoping to see this green in one of the Christmas color combinations in the upcoming Holiday Catalog!

Comparison - lost lagoon copy

Lost Lagoon—This blue is so relaxing and dreamy!  I know we already have lots of aqua/teal colors, but this one is unique.  It's kind of a grayed and darkened version of Pool Party.  Better yet, if you remember the old Baja Breeze, it definitely looks like a darker version of that.

Comparison - ribbon

3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon—I had to give you a close-up of this awesomely luxurious ribbon!  It's so elegant in these colors!  The stitched striped details look a different depending on which side you're viewing.  And, the smooth, satiny texture has a shimmering sheen in the light.  Oh, and did I mention that it's easy to tie and makes amazing bows?!  It totally does!
