Introducing the New 2012 In Colors!

Today, I've got a sneak peek of the new 2012 In Colors from the upcoming 2012-2013 Annual Catalog, available June 1.

I love that we get five, fresh and new colors to experiment with for two whole years!  Can't wait to start mixing and matching and falling in love with all-new, trendy color combinations!  Woohoo!

So without further ado, this years's colors are…

2012 in colors 2.

…Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit!

Please note that with the variations in my photo colors and your monitor these colors will not be an accurate representation. To give you a better idea, I made some swatches to compare them to current Stampin' Up! colors.

All of the new colors are in the lower right-hand corner.  You can click to enlarge the above photo, but let's check out each color individually for better detail.

2012 in colors - ripple

Raspberry Ripple is like a darker, richer Rose Red.  It's more blue than Riding Hood Red.  And, it's just a hint bluer and lighter than Cherry Cobbler.

2012 in colors - primrose

Primrose Petals is like a dusty rose.  If you added some Rose Red to Calypso Coral this would be the mixture.  It's has more of an warm red tone than either Rose Red or Melon Mambo.

2012 in colors - midnight

Midnight Muse is a slightly darker, richer version of Not Quite Navy with just a hint of royal blue added in.  It's got more green than Night of Navy, but not as much as Not Quite Navy.  It's much darker and bluer than Island Indigo.

2012 in colors - gumball

Gumball Green is dark like Garden Green with a little more yellow.  Garden Green is like a darker version of Wild Wasabi, each of them has a blue undertone. While Gumball Green is not quite a darker version of Lucky Limeade, it does share a more yellow undertone and they work well in combination.

2012 in colors - starfruit

Summer Starfruit is like a mixture of Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight.  I thought it might be similar to the old Crushed Curry, but it's definitely greener.  I also thought it might be close to the old Kiwi Kiss, but it's more yellow.  Old Olive and Summer Starfruit blend together nicely.
