Poinsettia Petals Merry Christmas Cards

Our second Countdown To Christmas Class Kit features the beautiful images and die-cuts from the Poinsettia Petals Bundle! This is the first set of cards from the 12-Card Class Kit…you'll create two each of these two layouts. If you choose the FREE 5-Card LIVE Class Kit, you'll receive supplies to create the red berries version!

Background Basics—I adhered a 3-1/2" x x4" piece of the berries Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper onto a Thick Very Vanilla card base. Then, I embossed a 1-3/4" x 4" piece of Real Red cardstock with one of the mini Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folder and adhered it next to the DSP. A 5-1/4" x 1/2" strip of Gold Foil gives a little shine to the bottom of the card. I finished the background by wrapping some Real Red Sheer Ribbon around the card front, tying it into a double-knot.

Pretty Poinsettias—I stamped the Poinsettia Petals poinsettia flower image in Crumb Cake ink twice onto Very Vanilla cardstock, then brushed on some shimmering Wink of Stella glimmer. The flowers are die-cut with the Poinsettia Dies. If you get the stamp set…you just have to get the coordinating dies! It really ups the versatility and makes it so easy to cut out these flower images! The flowers are popped up with Dimensionals.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Poinsettia Petals sentiment onto a 3-1/2" x 3/4" strip of Very Vanilla in Soft Suede ink. I fish-tail cut the end of the banner and adhered it to the card front with SEAL adhesive over the Gold Foil.

Finishing Touches—I added a couple of medium size Gilded Gems to the flower centers.

Two Cool—The second version of this card layout is essentially the same with a different pattern of Poinsettia Place DSP and a Garden Green cardstock panel embossed with the other Wrapped In Texture folder.
