Hi Stamping Friends!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!  I enjoyed a couple days of rest & relaxation and now I'm ready to get creative again!  I couldn't wait to share a couple of classy cards that I created just this morning!

Elegant youve got this - two cool

I used several new catalog items on these two cool cards!  A new stamp set, new paper, new framelit, new thread and a new In Color!   How fun!

CASEd from Teneale Williams from her Teneale Williams blog.

Color me 138439GCool Background Paper—That gorgeous black paper with the clear, glossy diagonal stripes comes from the new Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper.  I love this versatile assortment of paper that includes two each of 6 different single-sided designs; one in white and one in either black or one of the new In Colors.  The colored papers are ready to use, but the white patterns can be altered by sponging, brayering or spritzing on ANY color!  Cool!  (Click on the photo to see it up close!>>>)

Background Basics—I trimmed my Color Me Irresistible DSP to 5" x 3-3/4" then layered it onto a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Gold Foil to create a skinny, shiny border.  It's all mounted onto a Whisper White card base.

Label Basics—I used the second largest Lots of Labels Framelits to create the focal point layer in Whisper White. I trimmed the top of the label at the points where it started to curve.

Focal Point Flower—I stamped the You've Got This flower in Memento Black Ink onto the label at a slight angle, leaving room for an Another Thank You sentiment.  I stamped the flower a second time onto scrap Whisper White card stock.

Watercolored Flower—I colored in the image using a Blender Pen and Ink Pads.  For the stems & leaves on the label, I colored with Pear Pizzazz over the whole area, then added shading with Old Olive. For the flower stamped on the scrap card stock, I started with Pool Party over the whole flower, then added Bermuda Bay for the shading.  The flower center is colored with Crushed Curry.

Flower Layers & Gold Accents—I adhered a 1/4" wide strip of Gold Foil across the top of the label, overlapping the top of the original stamped flower.

After cutting out the colored flower with my super-sharp Paper Snips, I added some loops of the new Gold Metallic thread for some fine textured details. TIP: To add the strands of metallic, wrap the thread around your fingers about four times, pull off your fingers and fan out the loops, then attach to the back of the flower with several Dimensionals.

I finished by popping up the layer over the original image on the die-cut shape.  TIP: I like to color the edges of the flower that's stamped on the label, too, so that the bottom layer of the flower appears fully colored.

Isn't it so elegant?!  Thanks to Australian demonstrator Teneale Williams for this awesome design!

Two Cool—For my second version, I tried a vertical layout and I kept the full Lots of Labels die-cut shape.

My flower is watercolored with Blushing Bride ink all over and Watermelon Wonder for the shading.

I also added a 5/8" wide strip of Gold Foil across the background for a bigger pop of gold color!  I absolutely love how this one turned out!
