Hi Stamping Friends!
Do you enjoy bike riding? Over the past couple of years, I've gotten back into riding my bike…more than I ever did as a child! We have an amazing trail system through our community and I've been taking full advantage of it. I traded in my 25-year-old Wal-Mart special for a "real" Trek bike and I try to get in one or two 20-mile rides every weekend. It's so fun and invigorating to just take off and explore!
It's a rainy day here in Fort Wayne today, so it may not be the best day for an actual bike ride. But when I can't ride outside, I can always have fun creating with the Bike Ride bundle!
Today, I'm sharing a pair of cards created with the awesome summertime Bike Ride stamp set and Build A Bike Framelits! We're making one of these cards tonight at my "Last Thursdays" card class!

Two Cool Bike Ride Cards
The Bike Ride stamps and Build A Bike Framelits help you create the perfect bicycle fun, thinking of you card!
Background Basics—I started this card by adding a 1-1/4" x 3-3/4" strip of Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper to the side of a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White.
Bike Parts—I stamped the wheels in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White, then stamped the ring image inside the wheel in Pool Party ink to create the rim. Then, I stamped the frame of the bike in Berry Burst ink onto Whisper White and colored in the pedals with Crumb Cake and the seat with Pool Party. All three images were die-cut with the Build a Bike Framelits.
Bike Basket—I positioned the bike on the card without adhering in order to know where to stamp the bouquet of flowers onto the card front in Memento Black. I colored in the flowers with Pool Party and Berry Burst markers and the leaves with Pear Pizzazz. Then, I adhered the wheels to the card front with SNAIL and the frame of the bike with Dimensionals. I finished by die-cutting a bike basket from Silver Foil and adhering that with Multipurpose Glue.
Sweet Sentiment & Finishing Touches—I tied some Old Olive Baker's Twine around the card front layer, then adhered the panel to the Pear Pizzazz card base with SNAIL. I stamped the Happy Birthday Gorgeous sentiment in Memento Black onto a Bunch of Banners Framelits die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals. I finished by adding a couple of Rhinestone Jewels to balance out the shiny foil basket.
Bundle & SAVE—Purchase the Bike Ride stamp set and Build A Bike Framelits in a bundle to save 10% off the cost of purchasing them separately!
Two Cool—I created a second version in a slightly different color combination that is a little stepped up. The DSP strip is again from Naturally Eclectic and I used the Whisper White Baker's Twine for the bow and everything is mounted on a Bermuda Bay card base.
This time I stamped the bike frame in Bermuda Bay and the wheel rim in Lemon Lime Twist. The seat is colored with Berry Burst and the bouquet is colored with all the same colors.
I also added a little die-cut Silver Foil platform on the back of the bike to hold my adorable little dog! His outline is stamped in Memento Black and the inside is stamped in Sahara Sand. The bandana is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and colored in with Bermuda Bay marker.
The sentiment is from Banners For You, stamped in Memento Black ink. The banner outline is also from Banners For You, stamped in Lemon Lime Twist. It's die-cut with the coordinating Bunch of Banners Framelits, popped it up and added a Rhinestone Jewel to each side.
