In only a little more than 10 days, we'll know which stamp sets will be gone forever! The Last Chance Retiring Stamp List will be announced on June 1.
It's always a little bittersweet for me, because I just know that I'm gonna be losing some images that I LOVE. But, I know, that's the only way to make room for NEW sets to love! And, that's the exciting part!
I wonder which ones will be going (and I pray it doesn't wipe out my stamping selection!)! Which ones do you think will be leaving for good? Let's have some fun guessing…wanna play?!
It's So Hard To Say Goodbye Contest!
Get out your 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog, kids! It's time for a contest!
- Select 15 stamp sets from the Catalog that you think will be on the Last Chance Retiring Stamp List announced on June 1, 2011, then Email the list to me by May 31, 2011 at 11pm EDT.
- Do not guess Hostess sets (because we already know those will be gone), or Stampin' Around Wheels, or sets from any Mini Catalog. Only choose from the regular sets (and ala carté stamps) from the big Catalog.
- If you have the most correct retired stamp guesses, you win!
- In case of a tie-breaker, also select a number corresponding to the total amount of regular stamp sets you think will be retiring. The number closest to the actual retired number without going over will be the tie-breaker.
The winner will be able to purchase ANY stamp sets they want from the Last Chance Retiring Stamp List at a 20% discount! That's unlimited! But, that's not all! The winner can also purchase ANY of the retiring accessories, which could include Designer Papers, embellishments, Wheels and tools, at a 10% discount! Too Cool!

Goodbye Contest Hints & Tips
I'll even help you out with your selections! Here are some hints from my experience with Stampin' Up! (these are just my opinions, and Stampin' Up! likes to change it up, so they could be total BS):
- Older stamp sets obviously have a better chance of making the Retired List (sets rarely last more than 5 years).
- Lovely As A Tree is the oldest set in the book, but it better not be leaving! :-O
- Just because it was new last year doesn't mean it won't get the boot!
- Sets that coordinate with other sets likely have a better chance of sticking around longer.
- If it coordinates with punches, it also seems to stay around longer.
- Last year, more than 110 stamp sets were retired. Eeeep!

OH NO! They better not take “lovely as a tree” off the market. I have a lot of old stamp sets and “lovely as a tree” is my favorite. It is so versatile. If I don’t know what to do, I usually turn to that one.
