Hi Stamping Friends!
I've got another card to show you from our Demo Team Shoebox Swap last week. Janet Shinn is one of the newest members of our Too Cool team and it was her first time participating in our shoebox swap event. I think she hit it out of the park with this lovely sympathy card!
CASEd from Lynne Peters card featured at Welcome To Stampingville.
Her card features the Everything Eleanor stamp set to create a beautiful random stamped background in rich, neutral colors.
Background Basics—The card background is piece of 3-3/4" x 5" Baked Brown Sugar, and we started by stamping it with the Everything Eleanor flourish in the same color. Then, we stamped small flowers in White Craft ink in several places.
Focal Point—The large apothecary label image from the Everything Eleanor makes a fantastic foundation for the focal point! We stamped that in Soft Suede. Notice how the ink is resisted off of the flower stamped with White Craft Ink. That's kind of a fun little effect that I'll have to post more about sometime.
Sweet Sentiment—We stamped the Express Yourself (retired) greeting in Soft Suede onto a 3-1/2" x 5/8" Whisper White strip, then fish-tailed the ends to make it a popped up banner. I don't use them very often, but I do love the look of the Soft Suede Candy Dots! It gives the sentiment a nice, finished look.
Bow Tie—We matted the stamped layer onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Soft Suede. Before adhering to the Very Vanilla card base, we wrapped the card with Very Vanilla Seam Binding and tied it into a faux bow.
Finishing Touches—Don't miss that little birdie that we stamped right above the bow. So cute!
