I created the beautiful floral borders on these two cards using one of the bouquet images from the Jar of Flowers set! By simply stamping the image along the edge, it creates a gorgeous blooming decorative border…ready to color!
This pair of cards are NOT part of the Jar of Flowers LIVE Class Kit. It's a bonus project idea that's easy to duplicate once you purchase the kit!
Background Basics—The stamped layer measures 5" x 3-3/". I stamped the image in the center at the bottom of the White piece in Memento Tuxedo Black, then slightly turned the image and tucked it snugly into the other image without over lapping for a continual floral look.
Fabulous Flowers—I colored the image with a variety of Stampin' Blends Markers:
• Large rose in Balmy Blue
• Two large flowers in Mint Macaron
• Other flowers in Rich Razzleberry
• Eucalyptus in Highland Heather
• Berries in Light Poppy Parade
• Leaves in Granny Apple Green
I layered the piece onto a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic Black, then tied some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around. It's mounted onto a Mint Macaron card base.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Country Home sentiment in Memento ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then die-cut it with the Hippo & Friends die and popped it up onto the card front.
Finishing Touches—I added a few Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins around the blooms.
Two Cool—I tried a second version with a vertical orientation. This time I stamped the image in the corner first, then added in parts of the image at the corner's edge and on either side. I stamped the sentiment from To A Wild Rose on the open area of the White layer.
Fabulous Flowers—This time, I tried a different color combo with Stampin' Blends Markers:
• Large rose in Highland Heather
• Two large flowers in Poppy Parade
• Other flowers in Magenta Madness
• Eucalyptus in Cinnamon Cider
• Berries in Pretty Peacock
• Leaves in Old Olive
Finishing Touches—I selected a different color of Artistry Blooms Sequins that perfectly matched this color combo. Love those fun, iridescent sequins!
