Jodi’s Butterfly Bliss Card

I've been looking for quick and easy workshop cards to do, because I tend to go a little overboard on my workshops cards (<<<understatement).  It's just not easy for me to stop at simple.  I like showcasing lots of techniques and adding embellishments…basically, I want to show it all in one card! 

But, I am trying to learn to create more uncomplicated cards, so that even new stampers can duplicate them with successful results.

Jodi Geers, one of my downline, had her very first workshop last weekend (woohoo—way to go, Jodi!) and I loved the simple, yet very pretty, card they did as a make & take at her workshop.

I like the way she created a patterned background on the Pear Pizzazz card stock with the large flourish…it kind of reminds me of the wallpaper designer on my foyer as a child!  The torn edge is layered over First Edition Designer Series Paper to create a nice background for the focal point.

The"bliss" sentiment is stamped in Basic Black, then punched with the Oval Scallop Punch and sponged with Pear Pizzazz ink. 

The butterfly image is stamped in Pear Pizzazz, cut out and embellished with a Rhinestone Jewel.  The 5/8" White Satin Ribbon ties the elements together nicely!
