Hi Stamping Friends!

I had so much fun at my first craft fair yesterday!  This first small Christmas Bazaar allowed me to get my feet wet before doing a couple of bigger shows in the next few weeks.  I met dozens of people who were very interested in stamping, some who had never tried it before, but many who were active stampers or ones that used to stamp and wanted to get back into it.  What a pleasure to share what I love with so many people!  It sure has been a lot of hard work for the preparation, but I'm loving this craft fair thing way more than I thought I would!

I was too busy to blog yesterday, but I had been wanting to show you my favorite card from my November Stamp-of-the-Month Class Kit before the registration closed.  The inside gift card holder is Too Cool!  I'm going to extend my registration for ONE MORE DAY, just in case you want to try this fun card in the kit!

Jolly Friends Moose Gift Card Holder Card

This is my favorite card from the Jolly Friends class kit, not only because of the adorable moose image, but also because of the Too Cool gift card holder inside.  I'll be sharing the outside of the card today in Part 1, and I'll post a Part 2 for the gift card holder with a video in a couple days.

Jolly Friends moose - cherry

Background Basics—I started by embossing a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Cherry Cobbler with the Cable Knit Dynamic Texture Impressions Folder.  Since it has such deep texture, I adhered it to the Crumb Cake card base with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  You could also use Fast Fuse, but SNAIL adhesive is not strong enough for a secure hold.

Sweet Sentiment—Next I adhered a 5-1/4" x 1/2" strip of Warmth & Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack onto a 5-1/4" x 2" piece of Whisper White.  Then, I stamped one of the Tin of Tags greetings in Cherry Cobbler ink on that piece and adhered that to the card front.  I wrapped some Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine around the card front and tied in a knot.  I finished with a single Rhinestone Jewel next to the sentiment.

Jolly Moose—I stamped the Jolly Friends moose image in Archival Black Ink onto a piece of Crumb Cake card stock, then hand-cut him with super-sharp Paper Snips and popped him up with Dimensionals.

Jolly Hat—I stamped a Jolly Friends striped hat in Garden Green, then punched it out with the coordinating Jolly Hat Builder Punch.  I used the same punch to punch out the Dazzling Diamonds hat trim and ball, then adhered them to the hat with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.  The hat is popped up with Dimensionals.  TIP: Only add the Dimensionals to the top of the hat, so that the bottom of the hat can rest on the moose.  Or, you could SNAIL them together before popping any of it up.

Buy The Bundle & SAVE!  Purchase the Jolly Friends stamp set and Jolly Hat Builder Punch together in as a Bundle and save 10% off the cost of purchasing them separately!

ON SALE NOW!  Did you know that the Tin of Tags stamp set that I recommend using with my Jolly Friends class kit is on sale now for only $15.75?!  That's 25% off!  Get it during the month of November only: Tin of Tags (photopolymer)

Two Cool—My second version, and the second card in the kit, features a Garden Green background. I also selected a green pattern of paper from the Warmth & Cheer DSP.

I switched the hat to the Cherry Cobbler color for some contrast.

Inside Sentiment—On the inside, I stamped another Tin of Tags phrase in Cherry Cobbler onto a 5-1/4" x 2" piece of Whisper White and adhered it along the bottom of the card.

Pop-Up Gift Card Holder—I created two little "boxes" from matching Warmth & Cheer DSP to make a fun & unique pop-up gift card holder on the inside.  The gift card slides in the slot in the center where I have my business card pictured, and it conveniently folds down into a mailable card!  Too Cool!

Stay Tuned!  I will be sharing how to make the gift card holder with a video in Jolly Friends Moose Gift Card Holder Card—Part 2!
