Joyous Celebrations With Holiday Frame Embossing

If you're a busy stamper, but you love to send holiday cards, you're in luck!  Stampin' Up! makes it super-easy to create beautiful holiday cards in no time at all!

Joyous - two cool

Take the simplicy of these two cool cards featuring the Joyous Celebrations stamp set and coordinating Holiday Frame Texture Impressions Folder.  It only takes a few steps to make these cards look fabulous!

Joyous - reindeer  Holiday frame 127820L

You start by embossing the pretty wreath-shaped Holiday Frame textured background onto Garden Green cardstock—and look!  Half of your card is already done!

TIP: Take care to emboss your Holiday Frame right-side-up.  One of my stamping friends pointed it out to me that mine is upside-side-down…see the Christmas tree at the top…ooops!  Well, now I know better!

Next, I stamped the oval image from Joyous Celebrations in Cherry Cobbler onto Whisper White card stock. Then, I texture embossed the outside oval with the Designer Frames Impressions Folders and hand-cut it out.

I colored the reindeer stamp with marker, Early Espresso with a Cherry Cobbler nose, and stamped inside the oval. I stamped the bow on scrap, cut it out, and popped it up with a tiny piece of a Dimensional.  TIP: I highly recommend using Paper Snips for precise, intricate cutting!

The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso, with some Garden Green holly branches, then die-cut with Bitty Banners Framelits and also popped up.

For the second card, I added a little Champagne Shimmer Mist to the Holiday Frame texture by dabbing it on lightly with a sponge dauber.

Joyous - ornament 2

This time, I embossed the Designer Frames oval onto blank Whisper White card stock first, then stamped the images onto scrap paper and punched them out with the coordinating Extra-Large Oval Punch.  It fits perfectly inside!  Fantastic!

Jolly bingo bits 121187L

I loved the look of holly hanging from the top of the oval, but I wanted another small ornament to hang.  I found one in the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set…exactly what it needed!
