Blooms & Wishes Shimmery Accents Card

For the final two class cards, I kept the design pretty simple, but I added some pizzazz with some unexpected shimmery accents!

Background Basics—This card begins with a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock. I adhered a 1-1/2" x 5" piece of the pretty multicolored Blooms & Bliss DSP to one side of the mat, then embossed a 2-1/4" x 5" piece of Blushing Bride card stock with the Petal Burst texture for the other side.

Next, I wrapped some Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon over the seam and adhered the ends to the back, before adhering the entire layer to a Tip Top Taupe card base.

Shimmer Ribbon—Since the Wink of Stella Clear comes in the class kit, I thought it would be fun to try the glitter brush on the ribbon. It looks amazing! I simply brushed it on, and tried to get into all those pretty puckers. I wanted to give it good coverage, which tends to dry out the brush tip a little, so I had to squeeze it gently to keep the glitter flowing. So sparkly!

Sweet Sentiment—I die-cut a Whisper White label with the Tags & Labels Framelits and stamped the greeting on it three times in Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum and Blushing Bride inks. It's layered on a larger Rich Razzleberry Tags & Labels die-cut, then popped up with Dimensionals on the card front.

Shimmer Butterfly—I punched the Bitty Butterfly from Blushing Bride card stock, then covered it with more Wink of Stella Clear glimmer! I could have used the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper, but this is a lovely, more subtle alternative. It's attached with Glue Dots and accented with Pearl Jewels.

TIP: The Wink of Stella needs to dry completely before the Pearl Jewels will stick to it. Use a Heat Tool on the low setting to speed up the drying process, if needed.

Inside Décor—I complemented the floral pattern on the card front with similar stamping on the inside using the Blooms & Wishes stamp set. The largest flower is in Sweet Sugarplum, medium flower in Blushing Bride and leaves in Mint Macaron inks.

Two Cool—My second class card in this style uses the same DSP on an Island Indigo mat. This time I embossed Mint Macaron card stock, and flipped it to show the de-bossed look. I think I might like this side of the texture best!

Sweet Sentiment—The Tags & Labels mat is also in Island Indigo, and I stamped in Island Indigo, Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride inks.

Sparkly Ribbon—I wanted to use the new Blushing Bride Stitched Satin Ribbon for this class, but forgot to order it for some reason. No worries! I altered the Very Vanilla Stitched Satin Ribbon by adding some Blushing Bride ink to it with a Sponge Dauber. Then, I added Wink of Stella over the entire ribbon.
