Oh So Eclectic Shimmery Two-Step Stamping Cards

My very favorite way to stamp with the Oh So Eclectic images is to do simple, two-step layering with the crisp black outlines and colorful "watercolor" style solid fills. I stuck with the the colors from the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Papers, but I can't wait to try them with lots of other color combinations!

Background Basics—I started this card by stamping some "crosshatch" style Oh So Eclectic leaves on a Berry Burst card base using Berry Burst ink. I wanted the leaves to just peek out from the under the 2-1/2" focal point panel.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Oh So Eclectic sentiment in Memento Black at the bottom right corner. The small size of these phrases means that they fit perfectly in all kinds of small places on your cards!

Two-Step Stamping—I stamped the round outline flower randomly over a 2-1/2" x 5-1/2" Shimmery White card stock panel, then I filled in the blank spaces with the side-view flower outline image. Next, I stamped over the outlines with Peekaboo Peach, Berry Burst and Soft Sky inks. The free-flowing layered design of these stamps means that no "perfection" is needed! These are clear-mount rubber stamps, so you can't see through them for accurate positioning, but it looks just as terrific if they are a little off-set.

Shimmer Ribbon—After layering the stamped layer onto a 2-5/8" x 5-1/2" layer of Basic Black card stock, I tied some Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon around the strip. Check out the glimmery silver flecks in that ribbon! It really adds a touch of elegance to projects—so classy! The whole panel is raised up with some Dimensionals.

Two Cool—My second card uses the same basic elements in a different color scheme.

Cool Colors—This time I started with a Soft Sky card base going horizontal and I stamped the flowers in Peekaboo Peach, Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Sky.

Spectacular Shimmer—I also painted on a little Wink of Stella clear shimmer on the flower centers. You can't see it well in the photo, but it does a lovely job of playing off the shimmer in the ribbon. Ahhhh….beautiful!
