Broadway Birthday Hooray Card
Peggy Tassler used the new Broadway Bound suite to create these fun birthday cards! I'm loving all of the layers and details you can achieve with this suite! It's a lot different than most of the birthday sets we've seen in the past!
Background Basics—Peggy started by adhering a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of the Lemon Lime Twist striped Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper to a Lovely Lipstick card base.
The little decorative diamonds were die-cut using the Broadway Lights Framelits along the bottom of a 4" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic Black cardstock. She layered a 4" x 1" strip of Lemon Lime Twist behind the diamonds to make them really pop. Before adhering the layers to the card front, she added Gold Cord with the ends secured behind the cardstock.
Marvelous Marqueé—Peggy stamped the Broadway Birthday "hooray" and "let's celebrate you" in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White, then die-cut it with the marquee framelit. The Lovely Lipstick marquee outline is also cut with the same Broadway Lights Framelits. Check out those gold dots on the "hooray" word! That's created by stamping the coordinating dotted image over the word in VersaMark, then embossing the dots with Gold Embossing Powder and a heat tool! It looks just like Broadway lights! Too Cool!
She finished by Gold Embossing the party hat in gold onto Lemon Lime Twist, die-cutting it with the framelits, and popping it up with Dimensionals.
