The Just Believe stamp set is hands-down one of my favorite sets from the new catalog. The silhouettes are so pretty to use in so many ways! I used it to make an elegant card for my niece Sammi's 12th birthday!
I got my idea from a card created by Beth Alexander, which I found on our demo-only website, Stampin' Connection. I really liked the layout, so, of course, I had to make my own version. The second card is hers.
The Top Note Die was used to create the shape for the stamped image. I used Naturals Ivory card stock for this piece. Then, I colored the Just Believe stamp with Pear Pizzazz, Perfect Plum and Peach Parfait markers. Beth's sentiment is from the same set; my greeting is from Occasional Quotes, a Level 3 Hostess set.
I liked the way the Pear Pizzazz Poly-Stitched Ribbon comes through the Top Note and around the card. And, the Bright Button, tied with Linen Thread, or in her case, embroidery floss, adds a nice touch!
The background is created the Elegant Lines Impressions Folder, and I added a few of the self-adhesive Pearl Jewels as accents. I can't tell you how much I adore this folder! It goes with so many styles: elegant, whimsical, flirty, flowery and vintage! So versatile—it is a must-have!
This was a perfect card for Sammi…she is becoming such a sweet young lady! And the purple just happened to match the cool hoodie and necklace that we gave her. I hope she liked it!
