Just sayin gc - two cool

The final Just Sayin' Class-To-Go project is an easy-to-make gift card holder that's perfect for all kinds of special events that happen this time of year—graduations, bridal or baby showers, end-of-the-year teacher appreciation gifts, and more!

Just sayin gc - gee thanks 3.5

My favorite part is when you open the holder, the gift card pops up.  With just a couple of extra folds and some Sticky Strip, you have a little unexpected feature that is simply Too Cool!

Gift Card Holder Base How-Tos

You can see a full tutorial for this project including descriptive photos at my Ornament Punch Pop Up Gift Card Holder post.  Here are the basic measurements to get you started:

  • Start with a 4" x 11" sheet of card stock.
  • Score along the 11" side at: 2-3/4", 4", 5-1/4" and 8-1/8".
  • Fold along the 4" fold, and use the Word Window Punch to punch an opening along the fold that's the length of your gift card.
  • Sticky Strip the bottom only of that popped-up panel, so your gift card can still be inserted.
  • Decorate!

Just sayin gc - gee thanks

Gift Card Front—I adhered a 4" x 2-1/2" piece of Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper to the front of the Crushed Curry gift card holder.  Next, I selected the sentiment I wanted to use from the Just Sayin' stamp set and used the corresponding Word Bubble Framelit to create a window in the front cover.

I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay onto Whisper White, and die-cut that shape out, as well.  I put some Dimensionals on the back of the sentiment, then positioned it onto the inside flap through the front window for perfect alignment.

Finishing Touches—I wanted to keep it simple and easy, so I added one Rhinestone Jewel and attached a 1/8" Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon bow with a Glue Dot.

Inside Detail—I thought the inside needed a little something, so I added a 4" x 1/2" border from the same DSP.  Done!  How easy was that?!!

Just sayin gc - love ya

On the second version, I used the sweet polka dot paper from the Kaleidoscope DSP and the "Love Ya" Just Sayin' stamp.

The ribbon is wrapped all the way around the front cover and tied into a double-knot.  And I added three smaller Rhinestones for accents.

It literally took me less than 15 minutes to create both of these projects.  It's a great way to dress up a plain old gift card—FAST!
