Kathe's Blackberry & Gold Vintage Leaves Card
Team member Kathe Madsen brought this gorgeous card for our team to make last month at our shoebox swap. I love the leaves, the colors and the lovely gold accents so much that I'm making this one of the cards I'm featuring at my private classes!
Background Basics—The beautiful Vintage Leaves images are randomly stamped all over the 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" Crumb Cake background in rich fall colors: large maple leaf in Pumpkin Pie, oak leaf in Cajun Craze and small Aspen leaf in Blackberry Bliss. All of the leaves were stamped along the outer edges with a little bit of overlap.
Sweet Sentiment—Kathe combined two stamps from the versatile Endless Thanks photopolymer stamp set for the greeting. It was stamped in VersaMark ink, then sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heated with a Heat Tool until smooth & glossy on a 3-7/8" x 2-1/4" piece of Sahara Sand.
Golden Leaf Focal Point—The small Aspen leaf was stamped again onto Crumb Cake in Blackberry Bliss ink, then hand-cut right on the outline of the image. Kathe wanted the leaf to be a little smaller than the coordinating Leaflets Framelit shape. That way she could create a Gold Foil mat underneath the leaf to give it some shine. Doesn't that Gold Foil really dress up this card?! LOVE it!
The leaf layers are adhered with SNAIL, then they are attached to the greeting layer with Dimensionals. That layer is mounted on a 4" x 2-3/8" piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock, and also popped with Dimensionals.
Thanks so much for sharing the lovely card, Kathe!
