Hi Stamping Friends!
Well, even though it's snowy and icy here in Fort Wayne, IN, today, I'm dreaming of sunny days and warmer spring temperatures! The daffodils are poking their leaves out of the cold ground, and I can't wait for them to bloom! It made me think of a couple of sweet springtime floral swaps cards that I recently received from Too Cool team member Kathe Madsen. Both cards also have a little green on them to help honor this St. Patrick's Day! And, both are perfect to send as Easter cards! Let's check out these delightful cards…
Kathe's You're Inspiring Daffodil Easter Card
I love the versatility of the You're Inspiring stamp set. It covers Easter, birthdays and Mother's Day with a pretty springtime theme.
Background Basics—Kathe colored the 4" x 5-1/4" Springtime Foils Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper with Old Olive ink by dragging the ink pad directly over the paper and wiping off excess ink with a tissue. She tied some Daffodil Delight Double Stitched Ribbon around the layer, then adhered it to a 4-1/4" x 11" vertically-folded Whisper White Thick cardstock base. It's so easy to make beautiful, colored background with this fun, foil-patterned paper. Earn this DSP for FREE with your $50 order during Sale-a-Bration.
Delightful Daffodils—Kathe stamped the daffodil image from You're Inspiring in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 3" x 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Look closely and you'll see a lovely scored border around this layer. She used the Simply Scored tool to add a line of scoring along each edge at the 1/8" mark. What a nice, subtle little detail that really adds a finished look!
She colored in the image with Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Calpyso Coral Stampin' Blends Markers. The layer is adhered to the card front with SNAIL, tucked underneath the ribbon.
Sweet Sentiment—Kathe stamped the You're Inspiring Easter sentiment in Old Olive onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, then die-cut it with the Bunch of Banners Framelits and adhered with SNAIL.

Kathe's Southern Serenade Thinking of You Card
Kathe created with the same Delightful Daffodil & Old Olive color combination for another pretty spring-themed card.
Background Basket Basics—This card begins with a sturdy Whisper White Thick cardstock base. The floral focal point has a 3-1/2" x 4-5/8" Old Olive foundation that's popped up with Dimensionals.
Fantastic Floral—Kathe stamped the Southern Serenade flowers two times in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 3-3/8" x 4-1/2" layer of Whisper White. She colored in the blooms & leaves with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin' Blends Markers. The Southern Serenade sentiment was stamped at the bottom in Memento Black ink.
She stamped a third flower image onto scrap Whisper White and colored that in, too. That image was fussy-cut and set aside until after the ribbon was added.
Ribbon & Layering—Kathe colored some Whisper White 3/8" Organza Ribbon with a Daffodil Delight Blends Marker, then wrapped it around the stamped layer, securing the ends on the back with SNAIL. The whole stamped layer was mounted on the Old Olive layer. Next, Kathe popped up the fussy-cut element with Dimensionals over the top of the ribbon strip. She tied more Daffodil Delight colored ribbon into a bow and attached it with a Glue Dot at the base of the flowers. Oooh, I really like the look of this layered ribbon!
