Kathe’s Trio of Elegant Butterflies Trios

Too Cool Happenings!

____________________________________________________________________

Hi Stamping Friends!

I couldn't wait to share a set of three lovely cards created by my stamping friend Kathe Madsen!  She shared them at our Too Cool Demo Team meeting on Monday night and I thought they were fabulous!

Sweet Lullaby—All of the cards feature the new Lullaby Designer Series Paper, which is quickly becoming my favorite!  This floating distressed dots pattern is so light and airy…a perfect complement to the Elegant Butterflies images!

Happy Birthday—The greeting is from Sassy Salutations and is stamped in Hello Honey.

Butterfly Windows—At first glance, you might think that the Elegant Butterflies are punched shapes on top of the Whisper White card stock, but the shapes are actually punched out of the white card stock and the color blend is showing showing through the window from underneath it.

TIP: For perfect alignment of your butterflies, start by punching out three butterflies from the sticky part of a Post-It.  Position those Post-It butterflies where you want them on your panel, then use them as a guide for punching the windows.

Beautiful Blends—Kathe used Sponge Daubers to blend Crisp Cantaloupe and Hello Honey Classic inks together on the bottom Whisper white layer.

Altered Accents—The Pearl Jewels were colored with the new Daffodil Delight Blendabilities Markers.  Unfortunately, these are only available to demonstrators right now, but they will be released late-June to early-July for customers.  I can't wait for you to try them!  You'll love them!

Kathe's second card also uses the pretty papers from the Lullaby pack, this time featuring Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and Hello Honey colors.  She added a decorative border with the retired Adorning Accents Edgelits, too.

Sponging TIP: For the sponging layer, Kathe recommends that you cut your strip longer than the final piece, so you avoid that dark spot that seems to always appear on the ends. Once you have the colors blended, then trim the layer down to size.

More Altered Accents—Kathe used the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities to color the Rhinestone Jewels on these butterflies.

Kathe's final butterfly trio uses a similar circular patterned paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack.  Colors used here are Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey.

Thanks so much to Kathe Madsen for allowing me to share her beautiful cards!

Paper share sampler - too coolToo Cool Paper Share Update!

I just finished ordering another round of paper for the Paper Shares/Demo Ring Samplers, and our next group is now open!

Get all the information on the Too Cool Paper Share.  There are two options: regular 6×6" share and a 3×6' Paper Sampler Ring.  If you'd like to participate, please contact me!  When we have 8 people signed up, we'll order your paper!

Anyone Interested In Ribbon Shares?
There sure are lots of new ribbons in the catalog, and I'm having a tough time deciding which colors to choose.  It made me wonder whether I should consider putting together a ribbon share.

Would anyone like to split some ribbon with me? If so, would you like shares of each individual style of ribbon (like 2 yrds each of every color of 1/4" Cotton Ribbon), or would you prefer to have 1 yd each of ALL of the NEW ribbons in one big Ribbon Sampler Pack?

Please Leave A Commet!  I would love your feedback on this!  Please leave a comment!  If you're reading this by email, click to go to my original blog post, then scroll to the bottom to the Comments Section.  Thanks!

Angie
